Geez, Jim. You didn't call Bill an idiot or even worse - just presented facts. Bill won't be able to add your comments to his pity-party post. But I will say that Bill does make a few points (but never mentions the good things Trump did as you did here). Trump never did push for or even mention a balanced budget, wanted to keep the interest rates low which leads to misallocation of resources, did increase the deficits with his stimulus payments, etc. However, he was one of the few that said the cure can't be worse than the disease (COVID) and he didn't "preside" over lockdowns - that was the decision of each state. Plus, all the points you mentioned and there is much more, like a decent foreign policy, and not kowtowing to the Chinese. If anything came out of the 2020 election, it was to expose the Democrats for what they are - progressive-fascist-nihilist wackos. Will the electorate understand that and vote them out? Can we get a Republican candidate elected who is better than Trump? We'll see.

Expand full comment

JG: To respond to your last few comments: what are the Democrats being exposed for that the Republicans are not?:

Progressive-fascist nihilist wackos. That sounds more like Trump. You obviously didn't follow Trump's Presidency too closely. Reread what Bonner wrote about Trump. Trump was actually worst than that. You may also want to keep up with his trials that are going on to find out what a sterling individual he isn't. Trump is being exposed to 90+ counts and he enjoyed being China and Russia's friend..no one can trust those countries.

Good luck finding a good candidate..just don't vote for a Mega republican.

Expand full comment

Thank you for your Democrat talking points. If you think Trump is a progressive-fascist-nihilist, then you have no idea what those words mean. The 91 counts against Trump just proves my point as to what the Democrats have become. I suppose you believe that Trump colluded with the Russians despite a two-year Mueller team investigation largely based on a phony dossier funded by the Hillary Clinton campaign that found nothing. And I bet the mountains of evidence that is being accumulated against the Biden crime family (IRS whistleblower testimony before Congress; bank records; former business partner testimony; Hunter's incriminating laptop; words out of Joe Biden's mouth; photographs of Joe, Hunter, and foreign partners; etc., amounts to nothing. You can impeach Trump over a phone call, but all this evidence against the Bidens doesn't amount to anything? Or are you even aware of it since you probably get all your news from leftist media. And Trump being Russia and China's friend - how clueless can you get? Yes, he tried to get along so that he could influence them but was very tough on both. It's Biden that has given China a pass and would be giving Russia a pass if not for the Ukraine war.

JG: Not sure where you get your info. Why would you think 91 counts was a good thing? Pray tell me what the mountain of evidence that is being accumulated on Biden. It's been investigated for years now and they have not come up with the evidence. Trump isn't being impeach for a phone call. If you watched what is actually happening, you would know it's for the insurrection that happened on 1-6. Which we all had a front seat view of. Now he's on trial, along with some family members ( right now it's Trump's son, Donald Jr., testifying for lying about the value of Trump's various properties which he denies he didn't get involved in. Trump's CPA and others will evidently need to testify also.

As far as Trump being friends with Russia and China, at the time we were not in such a mess as we are now....so I'm not so clueless, but obviously you seem to be about what Trump is all about.

So Bill lists some facts about Trump (no disputing the "substance", though I would quibble over the severity of some of them), yet neglects to mention any of the myriad POSITIVE and BENEFICIAL things Trump accomplished. Color me shocked.

Should be a surprise to no one. As I've said before and he proves consistently, Mr. Bonner has zero qualms about showing his sh*tlib "elite" ass whenever he feels like it. What? You don't care for that facet of his newsletter?? It's a "free" Country, so cancel your subscription...

My theory is that the nation is led by clever incompetents. They manage to get elected because the people don't have enough physical experience or knowledge of science, I mean the real science of physics, chemisty, math, business acumen to discern the difference between an imposter and someone else with knowledge. Nobel is handing out economics prizes to Paul Krugman who says make one platinum coin to pay for the debt. Totally absurd, totally incompetent in economics yet gets a Nobel prize for absurd reasoning. The public doesn't know the difference and either does the Nobel committee giving the award. OR

Climate change by Al Gore. He notices that CO2 goes up as does temperatures. He doesn't have enough experience to understand that correlation is not necessarily causation. But he convinces enough politicians, who also have no understanding of statistics, that they could get a lot of money from carbon trading. Oh Al just happens to own the carbon trading company. But the politicians are so dumb they don't know if global warming is true of false. But they can get a lot of money to spend and they see they can hire a lot of academia to support their cause because they control the grant payments. But they go further, start paying trillions for windmills that now fall apart, start paying for solar panels that don't last as long as they are supposed to. Meanwhile companies attempting to supply energy via these forms are losing money. So who cares? Certainly not the politicians "buying" the votes with other peoples money. Society will just pick up the foolish spending. Is anyone noticing all the foolish spending where society picks up the tab. Oh by the way the politicians forgot to do any calculations as to what the cost was to provide the materials of construction or industries which must be established to provide those materials, like lithium or cobalt. Is anyone seeing a pattern here? And of course the financial giants didn't miss a beat milking the ESG mantra with higher costs to young and believing ESG investors well except for now that its becoming obvious that ESG is losing money in the markets. Are these politicians serving Americans? OR

The politicians have figured out they can buy votes from trans and gay parts of society if they support the trans movement. The leftists need a few more votes to insure election so they spout a bit of trans nonsense. No societal backlash yet i.e. until they want to dance in front of their kids or perform drugs and operations to change their kids sexuality without parental permission. OR

BLM. Politicians figure out they can garner black votes with BLM. Who doesn't think Black lives matter? Well the leftist politicians but they aren't worried about improving black lives they just want to sound empathetic to blacks. The policies they activate hurt blacks including the free money but it does look good to get free. It even came to supporting free millions for each black, saw that Gavin supported some effort. Of course they never got the money. Every self respecting black fully realizes he must work hard, negotiate for better positions and constantly protect and "fight" for his reputation.

I see a pattern. Figure out some mantra / narrative that sounds empathetic to some group or part of a group ignorant enough to fall for the false empathy. When one doesn't really understand almost any aspect of science such as chemistry, physics, math, industrial engineering, thermodynamics, business acumen or the effect of policing on society then it is really easy to fall for some empathetic ploy that appears urgent and goes along with a popular complaint within the group being addressed.

I don't even want to belabor covid vaccination point. Anyone with a hint of statistical knowledge is now fully aware of the vaccination hoax but man did it pay off for the politicians and bureaucrats through donations from big pharma and it just so happened to support the big pharma, big tech political consortium through media. Just so happens big pharma and big tech have no liability for their actions, how convenient. But the politicians sure reaped the benefit of media coverage and political contributions. I gotta say it was pretty clever as all these industries saw advantages for themselves. Guess that is what happens when you get trained in the WEF and all the big shots sit around under the protection of 4000 Swiss army troops. I just kinda wonder why they need military protection? Seems they could only be helping society, right?

Such truth John, that in reality, we have only been given the choice between a democrat, and a socialist for the past half century. We have been the perfect example of the frog slowly being boiled to death, very much in line with the communist agenda.

Unfortunately ,we know damn well how 'it comes to be". It's just incredibly depressing that we the people have allowed it, that we did not heed the advice of our forefathers.

"I do not know whether it is to yourself or Mr. Adams I am to give my thanks for the copy of the new constitution. I beg leave through you to place them where due. It will be yet three weeks before I shall receive them from America. There are very good articles in it: and very bad. I do not know which preponderate. What we have lately read in the history of Holland, in the chapter on the Stadtholder, would have sufficed to set me against a Chief magistrate eligible for a long duration, if I had ever been disposed towards one: and what we have always read of the elections of Polish kings should have forever excluded the idea of one continuable for life. Wonderful is the effect of impudent and persevering lying. The British ministry have so long hired their gazetteers to repeat and model into every form lies about our being in anarchy, that the world has at length believed them, the English nation has believed them, the ministers themselves have come to believe them, and what is more wonderful, we have believed them ourselves. Yet where does this anarchy exist? Where did it ever exist, except in the single instance of Massachusets? And can history produce an instance of a rebellion so honourably conducted? I say nothing of it’s motives. They were founded in ignorance, not wickedness. God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people can not be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. We have had 13. states independant 11. years. There has been one rebellion. That comes to one rebellion in a century and a half for each state. What country before ever existed a century and half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it’s natural manure. Our Convention has been too much impressed by the insurrection of Massachusets: and in the spur of the moment they are setting up a kite to keep the hen yard in order. I hope in god this article will be rectified before the new constitution is accepted".

At least for now, here are the three standards I think I will use:

1. Will the candidate or issue end up costing more money? If so, vote "no"/"against" for the issue/candidate. Our culture is rapidly descending into bankruptcy and cannot afford increase our already humongous personal/national debt.

2. Will he/her or it end up favoring/elevating one group of people above another? If so, vote "no"/"against" the issue/candidate. Our current culture hungers for all-encompassing love over the hate that seems to currently permeate our so-called "advanced" culture.

3. Will he/her or it grant to EVERYONE more personal freedom in place of communal slavery? If slavery, then vote "no"/"against". Freedom to think and act, so long as it does no genuine harm to others is always to be preferred :)
