Bill seems to think that since Russia has a big, powerful, professional army and the willingness to use it that everyone should just give Putin whatever he wants without a fight. Where does that inevitably lead us Bill? Putin’s behavior is totally unacceptable in the modern world. It must lead to his death, one way or another.

Must say I'm rather appalled at Bill's callous indifference to Russia's brutal invasion of Ukraine. There he is, sitting high up in the stands with a butt full of splinters, bloviating from a safe distance over what he sees taking place on the field. As a former Army soldier, I sure would not have wanted Bill as a foxhole buddy in the event bullets started flying. And I'm not sorry that Bill's Russia investments have blown up in his face - a speedy recovery for those poor victims is not in the offing. In the meantime, sit back, kick your feet up and enjoy those Argentine steaks and wines.

So who is buying these assets pennies on the dollar?

Not sure what is a good outcome as Bill sees it. War is messy.

I believe Bill's indifference comes with age a kind of timeless wisdom. Did America rally behind the Irish when England rolled in and declared all lands formerly owed for thousands of years now belong to the Crown? Did America send armies to interfere with the planned genocide of the Irish people by starvation? We did not. Why? Because you have to choose your fights. What interest did America have in Ireland? What interest do we have in Ukraine. For the credit of the Irish they were a sovereign nation. Where as Ukraine has never been so. Ukraine has been rated the number one corrupt government since it broke away form the crumbling USSR. When I say broke away I'm only speaking of another world power stepped in to underwrite the economy. That world power was in fact Russia.

Sadly most Americans are bereft of understanding the CIA was employed to orchestrate a coup removing the Democratically elected government that supported Russia (for good reason) with a much more corrupt government now supported by USA and as such one that supported our interests.

Americans tend to see only the side of the story fabricated by CNN and Fox both defusing the pro Ukrainian anti Russian narrative. I suggest researching the story not being told by the media. I hope this forum allows links, if not search Not one Inch Eastward and you'll know why Putin attacked Ukraine and yes our American government is at fault.

A slight correction - while the media my be stumping for a hot war, most Americans want nothing to do with it.

Hard to believe the world is going to jump on a Russia-Iran-China-North Korea financial system in lieu of the dollar!

Also, I can’t remember Bill commenting on the disastrous invasion at our southern border.

When was the last time Bill had something good to say. All Bill is doing is making bad waves against the govt. Give me a break and say something good.

Should we all stick our collective heads in the sand or buy gold, silver, and Bitcoin?

Gold and Silver OK, but BITCOIN I'd give a wide berth.

For those that say there is no alternative I would say the last time I looked there were 2700 crypto currencies.

A couple of Bits on a screen. No thanks.

“Backed by the full faith and credit of the US Government”. Now that that’s down the drain, I wonder what they’ll change the wording to.

The US could solve a big chunk of its deficit by taxing petrol ( gas ) at European levels:

US $ 4.25 / gallon - UK £ 1.73 / litre = approx $ 8.55 / (US-) gallon

Wouldn't that make a recession more likely scenario?
