Mike Johnson is not keeping the house out of session because of the Epstein files. To imply so is ridiculous and misleading.

Arizona's Representative-elect Adelita Grijalva is needed to complete the required signatures for a petition that would trigger a vote on the release of the Epstein files. Her swearing-in has been delayed by House Speaker Mike Johnson, which has led to a lawsuit to compel the process.

What is untrue about this statement?

Why has Speaker Johnson delayed her swearing in?

Mike Johnson is keeping the house out of session because of the over 1 trillion dollars the Dems senators are trying to add to the bi-partisan house approved bill their request for illegal immigrants health insurance. Has nothing to do with Grijava.

Approving the house bi-partisan approved bill would not only open the gov't but would get her her approved and the Epstein files released.

Epstein Files are just another update on 22 November 1963: to let the truth out would be to allow the scales to fall from the eyes of American citizens. "In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem"(Ronald Reagan 1981). I say, why satisfy ourselves with measly $1-$2 trillion-dollar deficits? I say, ramp up spending; remove all strictures and impediments. Fulfill every monetary desire. Sing "Happy days are here again". Blow it up. Get it over with. This is death by a thousand cuts. And with the resultant crash, we can build a new government from the ground up per the original blueprint, The Constitution. Best always. PM

Bill, you’re putting this shutdown on Mike Johnson?! I think your Democrat derangement syndrome has gotten a lot worse. This is not about working out a compromise on healthcare. It is about the Democrats closing the government because they don’t want to live with the law they voted for. The healthcare they are fighting for died its natural death in accordance with that law and shutting down the government is not the way our system of checks and balances is meant to work.

How about the Congress could easily end the shutdown by agreeing to the extension, you know, the one Schumer and company has approved and passed 13 times under Biden.

But Bonner being the new TDS form of Bonner must find a way to blame the administration.

Per the Epstein files...how ridiculous. Given the democraps have tossed everything at President Trump, including the kitchen sink, do you not think that if he was implicated they would have released at least the portion of the list showing his atrocities???? They would have filleted him - without even a little doubt.

Your commentaries have become really sad Bill, really sad..... and highly partisan.

These guys (Tom and Dan) are apparently heirs apparent, the Aussie argentine-transplant, Joel Bowman, having gone his separate way (sadly so for me). Imagine their personal distress (likely unexpressed) at the Boss (The Big Man! haha) alienating half the revenue base! Still, I enjoy the Bonner missives, whether or not I agree. Bill's premise is still correct: real money is what should be the foundation of both economics and politics. His pathos is what is coming to the fore in old age. I give him a pass on that and overlook it. I comment on the egregious stuff, but my original motivation back in the 90s to join the Bonner circle was I thought he would be able to give me, maybe, a jump on the real-deal crash, not just financial, but the demise of the country. Turns out I didn't need him (Bonner) for that; it's all plain as day; anybody who wants to can see it. Best always. PM

PM, the difference between the left and right is the left traditionally has screamed for free speech as long as you agreed with them, otherwise they do not agree with what you say, then they have no tolerance for your opinion. The right has had a tolerance for free speech but also has the right to disagree. But still allows you to say your piece.

Me, I am no longer a Dem or Reep. I am a, and I encourage others to not be labeled, “a Constitutional Pragmatist “. I prefer to be anchored in an objective document combined with evidence of what works practically, not a head filled with corrupt rationality based in reactive emotional outbursts of the latest minutia of the day. After writing this maybe I am actually a “Macro constitutional pragmatist”?

Paul Murray's avatar

I get that and support it, but constitutional pragmatism, while the ideal, brings us to the admission that such is a lost cause, for we have neither constitutionalism nor pragmatism. So, despite my frustrations with Repubs, our system is binary, and I choose the Repubs now, every time out, since 1976. Neither is good, but one is closer to good (for me and my way of thinking) than the other. Thank you for your reply. Best always. PM

Yes Jimm, without castigation or insults. Just facts. If President Trump is a KING, then the democrat party is now the Court jesters of today. Also known as fools or buffoons, these current mental cases were considered entertainers in royal courts during the Middle Ages and Renaissance. Their primary role was to amuse KINGS and their guests through various forms of entertainment, including jokes, music, and juggling, or as today with Football, Basketball, MSNBC, CNN, Hollywood and Democrat politicians. Jesters often wore colorful clothing called motley, which included a distinctive three-pointed hat adorned with bells.

Roles and Responsibilities

Types of Jesters

Natural Fool: Often someone with a physical or mental disability, perceived as amusing due to their behavior, or Joe Biden.

Licensed Fool: A skilled performer who entertained through comedy, satire, and storytelling. They had the freedom to mock nobility and provide candid advice, or most democrats.

Duties include…

Entertaining at royal feasts and events.

Performing household tasks when not entertaining.

Serving as messengers during wartime, which could be dangerous.🤔

Boosting morale among troops before battles through songs and jokes.🤔

Historical Significance

Jesters played a unique role in society, often acting as advisors for the democrats and critics of America and the courts. They could speak fake truths that others could not, using humor and lies to address political and social issues. Notable jesters include Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and all democrats who served King Obama.

The tradition of jesters continues today, with some modern performers adopting the role in historical reenactments and entertainment. Another words, the entire democratic cult of mental illness. Jesters remain a symbol of humor, but unfortunately, have become severely mentally damaged due to TDS, ignorance and hatred for their real or imagined 🤴

Hi Bill, I used to read you missives with anticipation and enjoyment. I have enjoyed your insights and humor, and even share your humor with my wife. But recently you seem to waste your words on subtle and disguised angey screeds. It is quite obvious to me that you are fed up with all of American government and particularly the "Big Man". I think the president, while far from perfect, after all he is just a man, is doing a very good job given the dearth of tools in his tool box and a legacy media which goes out of their way to distort and disparage his words , deeds and accomplishments. Bill, I find myself reading half or maybe two-thirds of your daily missives, and I find myself in such disagreement with your thoughts that it saddens and disappoints me.
