My wife and I bought a home upstate NY with plenty of acres and on a side road. Have a garden now, greenhouse next year maybe a few chickens too. Planning on getting a rifle and pistol license. When the food stamp and SSI checks and AMTs don't work, those expecting those perks may be knocking on your door and they aren't looking for cans/bottles to recycle.
