Bill is just reminding us of historical facts regarding civilizations. To wit:

From bondage to spiritual faith,

From spiritual faith to great courage,

From courage to liberty,

From liberty to abundance,

From abundance to selfishness,

From selfishness to complacency,

From complacency to apathy,

From apathy to dependency,

From dependency back again to bondage.

Yes. That, or something just like it, was etched into an office wall at the main headquarters building where I worked back in the early 1960s.

How can I have a good weekend after that? But thanks for shining light into the dark corners, even if it isn’t pretty.

Perhaps an appropriate mislabeling of the company that provides real employment data, ADP is that company -- ADT is an alarm service (Houses, business, etc.) but sounding the alarm in this case might be correct

It is not a coincidence majority of TV commercials portray the female working and the male staying at home endeavoring to clean and nurture their offspring.

If the US Government outlaws cash; then they can go negative on interest rates and prop up the equity markets with more government debt/money printing while borrowing/printing more money???

I really appreciate it when you illuminate the actualities. Nobody I know understands who to blame for their angst. so the tribes are turned against one another.

Reading book "When money dies" by Adam Ferguson, chapter 2, page 22 (about post-war Austria):

"The fact that future is so uncertain has led to stagnation in industry and public works, and swelling numbers of unemployed supported by the State... yet it is impossible to get domestic servants or indeed any sort of workers..."

Eerily similar to today's US reality

I'm glad you're paying attention to Yang, who was a breath of fresh air in the crowded 2020 field of candidates for President. He grasps the opportunity presented by technology to benefit all of us. So far, it has benefited stockholders and left everyone else with enormous debts.

I agree with your take but it is interesting to me that there are other people who do not see any of this but rather earnestly believe the official narrative and see the world completely differently. I’d be interested to hear how you disassemble the arguments of this writer, for example: https://discussthetape.substack.com/p/the-week-that-was-feb-7th-11th-2022?r=kqs8e&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&utm_source=direct

"...from 1960 to 2010, the proportion of adults without a college degree who marry plummeted from just over 70 percent to roughly 45 percent."

Beginning in the '60s marriage began to fall out of favor, as many couples just started living together instead. I wonder if this "skew" was incorporated into the above statistic?

Remember the 1970s popular acronym, "POSSLQ?" HAH!
