I've always thought that the extent to which lies and corruption of a government have overtaken the interests of its denizens, is foretold, by the size of its Tax Law rules. Which really aren't rules, but loopholes, as how NOT TO have to pay taxes.
While Canada's Tax Laws are a mere 1700 pages long (3300 pages, but written in both official languages), the USA's are closer to 10,000 pages long. If not more.
While I was able to download the entire Canadian tax laws in a single PDF -
I could not for the life of me find anything better than a page where you can search all 10,000 subsections of the United States Internal Revenue Code (Subsection 26)
That, my dear friends, is a government/republic/democracy in deep doo doo. When you need more than 2 pages, never mind 1700 or 10,000+ pages to explain why you (or your special lobby interest) shouldn't have to pay taxes, you are way past the point of no return.
Apparently, all people are not created equal, according to these two government's tax laws.

April 7, 2020 the documentary “Tracking down the origin of the wuhan coronavirus” aired on the Epoch Times. Joshua Philipp is the lead reporter. It explained in-depth more than I’ve heard from any other source. However, it was suppressed by main stream media and government agencies. Since then the reports from the Epoch Times have been spot on concerning truth rather than Fauci Fiction. I’d recommend going back and watching as it goes into detail about events at the Wuhan lab and CCP military vs civilian personnel changes as damage control. Just think, if this data had been mainstreamed as it should have been, it would have pointed to US bioweapons of mass destruction development in a foreign country.
Great post Bill! Cowardice combined with economic illiteracy is one lethal cocktail. The lockdowns will go down as the biggest government mistake of all time. To actually think they could paper over this mistake is the pinnacle of stupidity. The cowardice bill is coming due and there is nothing these economically illiterate apparatchiks can do to prevent it. Trump deserved to be shown the door for these colossal screw-ups. Now that the precedent has been set here comes the climate lockdowns.

I think maybe Biden is letting all the people run up their credit cards so that when the campaign starts for 2024, he will promise to pay back that debt to get some votes from the poor unwashed. What I don't get, is the folks that will repeat these same stories over and over when they have already been debunked. Do they think we are "stoopid" as Judge Jeanine Pirro says? I look for truth where ever I think it is and it ain't DC. Just sayin'

That would be plural: Subjects, and would include everything from History to Economics and yes, of course, Science. Bill, I agree with most of your writing. However, I think you incorrectly qualify the US aid to Ukraine. The aid is not an economy issue as you write but rather a security issue. So, our expenses are small part of payment for blood spending Ukrainians to defend the free world. If Ukraine looses the war, then this our blood that should shed to defend the NATO countries. Besides, Russia, first time after WWII, threaten to use nuclear weapon first. This completely destroy nuclear stability equation because it produces incentive to the opponent to use nuclear weapon first . In fact, Russia is even higher threat to the World than the Soviets.
