In my estimation, Mr. Bonner misses the mark whenever he relies exclusively and with no qualification on his existential Rule of the Universe: "When the money goes, everything goes." Mr. Trump may be a lousy politician, and he may be a megalomaniac. He is the embodiment of excess and display for effect. Still, one thing he did, and the most important thing he did, was

to stand up, boldly and with conviction, to counter the horrendous "fundamental transformation" of the country, when NOBODY ELSE WOULD DO IT. For this he must be accorded the title ".LEADER, ADVOCATE, DEFENDER" Mr. Trump's terms in the office of president, the chief executive, may be imperfect. In fact, they may turn out to be economic disasters, or merely stay caught up in the current trend, which Mr. Bonner loves to identify. The United States of America had one thing going for it from the get-go: the belief in freedom and liberty, the sanctity of individual rights, and these were the source of the country's EXCEPTIONALISM. For all of his imperfections, for all of his flaws, for all of his shortcomings, for all of his failures to stop the current trend in place, he gave America her (and our) CHANCE to rescue what was once a given in this country: HER BIRTHRIGHT. We may blow the chance; we may fall short; we may falter and fail. I have seen more than enough of that in my 72 years. If so, all of it is on us, but Donald J. Trump, in my mind a most unlikely individual for this calling, goes into my personal pantheon of the heroes of the country, now, and forever. Best always. PM

P.S. If everything comes down to money, then everything of any import, consideration, or significance is vanity, null and void. Looking at you, Mr. Bonner. PM
