That’s what I like about Bill’s writing. You never know for sure what you might get. And today’s word painting is as beautiful as I can imagine the bride to be. Still, I would have preferred a picture of the bride to the one of Bill’s green Citroen.

I started to buy a Citroen in 1957 with manual flip up Turn signals and hydraulics to raise and lower the vehicle. Looking back now I should have bought it as an investment or collectible. And stored it. Just Saying! Florida Jimmy.

LOL, I looked for investment insight, and I got a history lesson. Love it.

You DID get an implied investment lesson: short "wine" and western culture. It's time is past. Best always. PM

LOL, Great point. I am not ready to give up on western culture, although I am probably ready to give up on "western European culture."

Well, I fear that we in the US, and a few Eastern European countries may be the only bastions of defense against the total erosion of our collective historical cultural and economic excellence.

Bill and Co. constantly remind us that the beat here is money, so let me add what he left off. In Europe, I'd be short "wine" and anything to do with it. The followers of Mohammed (peace be upon Him) disdain the product. Unless acted upon by a greater outside force, Trends, once in place, tend to stay in place, until they have run their course. And the trend in Europe is clearly visible, apparent even to the casual observer. Best always. PM

The Irish have mostly been on the wrong side of wars. May have something to do with that darn alcohol thing. And here in the States, where the majority of Irish Americans continue to vote democrat, the alcohol induced dementia continues. As history has seen product manufacturers turn into Service Industry companies for survival, especially in the most socialist countries. Maybe people will start waking up and seeing that socialism doesn’t work. But maybe it’s just easier to continue drinking heavily and stay ignorant to the destruction surrounding you 🤔🍻🍻Keep your people drunk, keep your people stoned, make them all get high, and they will all be owned 🍻

SL: You can’t be that gullible. Well, maybe you are. No one is keeping the people drunk or stoned. You’re smarter than that; at least I think you are or thought you were. Shame shame.

ALschule: Yes, I know SL knows much, but it’s always the same negativity mostly about the Dems. As everyone knows that I am currently a democrat, and I do respond to him as he does to me. I’m a little surprised that you took my response to him as a need to respond to me. My mind is not lost in the darkness and believe me, I get plenty of stimulation from my daily life. Thanks for your concern!

Altschule: Not to beat a dead horse, but SL does get under one’s skin occasionally. Surprised he hasn’t responded to me. Actually, I’m hoping he doesn’t. I don’t really get angry just frustrated that he only looks at one side of the problem.

Haven't noticed any daily missive from Bill since July 8. Did I miss any notification about him being on a well deserved vacation or I hope he doesn't have any health issue? Hope Bill is doing fine as he, Tom and Dan all provide very valuable insight, perspective and recommendations on the issues of the day.

Nice piece of feuilleton.

To my perception Bordeaux has plenty of merits without seeking to become a wedding venue.

To realize that requires to enter the city ;-))

My computer or Substack kicked me out of the Post I was doing. Probably Substack because they don't recognize my 2007 password to BILLBONNER@bonnerandfriends.com. Maybe it was too long. I am not going to redo it. Just Daying! Florida Jimmy.
