Yes Bill, all good points if “free trade” ever really existed in our jacked up world. Unfortunately, free trade is not possible with the multiple layers of different entrenched governments around the world. So far, our previous “non-reciprocal” tariffs policies of previous administrations has only hollowed out the working middle class of the U.S. (you’ve previously said so yourself in these missives) and formed working middle classes in other countries. I want my children to have a good job here in the future.
This article, and most of the comments on all sides of our situation are well written and the deep divide and confusion is clear for all to see. I do believe that "only time will tell" applies perfectly. It is my thinking our ever growing $37 trillion debt, and huge interest payments that come along with it are at the core of America's problems. No one is addressing this, and the terrible truth seems to be that politically it can not be dealt with. Did not Musk/DOGE prove this beyond a shadow of a doubt? Who could possibly be elected now while cutting down the size of the federal government, and the odds on Trump's plan to grow our economy enough to support all of this spending are what?

Could you give us an update on what's going on with the Trump administration's actions on energy production, including deregulation so that nuclear power plants can be built in a timely manner. And what the EPA is doing to get rid of onerous regulations that have accumulated over the years as well as promotion of oil, gas, and coal development and minimizing the wasteful solar energy and windmill developments. Just wondering if you are looking at some of the important things that are happening besides the negative stuff the MSM spits out on a daily basis.
Well John, from My side of the ledger, all that is being proposed takes more than one day to accomplish. Most likely will not happen in MR.T.'s time as Pres. I mean the fruits, if that is a proper term. I would like to see many of His works for America to come to pass. But what he is doing to the rest of His trading partners has something to be desired from My view .
