Finally, a fair assessment. My rebuttals have not been over his positions but on the constant bombardment of the man. You would think after the last 8+ years you would be tired of it. I agree with your prose, however, and its a big however, he is attempting to right a sinking ship. We may not agree with his methods, the alternative of status quo is even more brutal. The crooks keep crookin....

I maintain we MUST give his plan a chance. The fact that Scott Bessent is there should steady nerves, along with the rest of what is by far the most exceptional cabinet we have seen in decades. Fair game to criticize his policies (especially since we don't see all the moving pieces meshing together, yet.) but get off the mans arse! There was never a political post that I recall ( I have been around awhile) on the Biden disaster, no not one. Where was your critique then?

And what if these plans do indeed work? What would your narrative be then, would it be a retraction or would it be like the MSM's predictable response " These success are do to the policy changes Biden implemented" - as if anyone would ever believe that or anything else they have to say. Be interesting to see...

Bill, you made it sound like Dan Goldman is a Republican ("his colleagues"). I asked Copilot about him and it said:

Rep. Dan Goldman is a Democratic congressman representing New York’s 10th District. Before entering politics, he was a federal prosecutor and served as lead counsel in the first impeachment inquiry against Donald Trump in 2019.

Recently, Goldman has been vocal about Trump’s leadership, questioning his competence and economic policies. He has also criticized the Republican-backed bill that allocates $300 million for Trump’s security costs, arguing that it prioritizes Trump’s golf outings over disaster relief funding
