Being a “red neck” conservative, I initially viewed Mr. Kennedy as just another leftist rich fat cat that lived a sheltered life with every care covered by his family wealth. Maybe my initial assessment is accurate, but I have decided to take another look at him. His disdain for big pharma is encouraging and his ability to be heard on the left side of the political aisle gives him an “in” that could encourage the moderate left to be more critical to what has happened to their party. His position on the covid plague is mine as well. Hopefully, he will insist, should he win the presidency, that those persons who profited from the plague or helped to aggravate it will see their day in court.

I like his attitude about our military. The US military has become the riot police for the world, getting involved in situations where we don’t belong, and once in, cannot get out. The military brass has so corrupted the military experience that I fear for the viability of our military. Clearly, the foreign powers look at us and laugh at the way we have made our soldiers, sailers and marines to be “woke.” That perception means we are perceived as weaker and less effective and therefore vulnerable to their forces — a surefire way to get into a war. Kennedy’s stated claim that he will draw back our military presence in the world and limits it’s involvement in foreign disputes to those essential to the US wellbeing is an approach that I heartily endorse. Each generation, we subject our best and brightest to some worthless combat causing needless casualties and depriving America of their contribution to helping our country verses just contributing to the population of our military cemeteries.

What I don’t know yet is his position on the Bill of Rights. If he accepts the left’s position on denying free speech unless the speech is pro left, then I will not support him. If he accepts the left’s position on banning gun ownership/possession/etc. then I will not support him. If he accepts the left’s position on unequal justice, then I will not support him. If Mr. Kennedy has the traditional giveaway mentality seen in the left, then I will not support him. American cannot afford free college, massive welfare, socialized medicine, lax law enforcement, and all the other nonsense being proposed or in place.

The conservative choice presently is Mr. Trump. I have significant doubts that he can be an effective president. I believe that, if he gets reelected, he will spend his time fighting for his presidential existence, and trying to overcome the bureaucratic inertia of the swamp. Although the other viable conservative candidates won’t start out with Mr. Trump’s baggage, it won’t take long for the socialists and the media to load them up and stymie their plans.

I will listen very carefully to Mr. Kennedy. Maybe a moderate democrat can get done what America needs to have done. It will admittedly hard for a moderate republican to accomplish it.

OMG!!!!

The biggest wish of my entire adult life just came true.

When I wrote several days ago in reaction to one of Bill’s very best pieces, I was moved to pick up my quill and write the words and heartfelt dreams of a generation....

“ Bill Bonner for President 2024....The Last Honest Man”.

And I urged someone to somehow get Bill’s words to Bobby Kennedy Jr.

And somehow, through some miracle, some act of genius/focus or even just plain old “Luck of the Irish”, RFKjr has connected with The Last Honest Man.

Keep the Faith and Keep Going !!!

Godspeed to All.
