"What to do?" Good question if, at some point, details are to be entertained. However, the primary decision of "Fight or Flight" remains. I'm a fighter by nature and therefore will give my support now to much vilified "man in the Ring" to whom this poisoned chalice "debt cup" has been passed.

I'll also mourn the memory of the frontline fighter, Charlie Kirk and will root for those who will step up to fill the void that has been left. Will pray that non-violence remains as our guiding force.

But we have come now to a place where we need to address the root of this violence. Violence that sees very young school children shot through a stained glass window as they sat in church. Violence that seeks to silence their opposition with bullets.

There's that word again - "opposition". Not to be confused with "oppressor". But who will teach the difference rather than dedicate themselves to erasing boundaries in their lust for power?

Isn't that the better question?

Ed, I choose to find a secondary country away from the declining US society perhaps not just for my welfare but for the welfare of my kids and grandchildren. I'm saddened that the US is in decline but there isn't anything much I can do about it. Our leaders who I voted for are continuing the spending pattern and it doesn't seem like it's going to change. My vote for Trump was a vote fir a Milei try of leader and its not what we got. I applaud your decision to fight vs flight and wish you all the best but I'm tired of fighting what seems to be a losing battle. I'm cutting my losses and going to find greener pastures elseware maybe.

Well Mark, at 72 years of age, my "fights" will be using words alone. The good news is that I see the real possibility that the destructive nature of what Progressive power brokers have put on offer has been exposed.

Unfortunately, it may take the final steps of an election of a Marxist in NYC or a barren job market that greets those Antifa malcontents to finally drive the point home. These things tend to run in cycles, and I sense that the end is very close at hand.

The "theatre kids" to whom "all the world is a stage" finally being brought up, convicted and punished on the charge of "shouting fire in a crowded theatre".

Punished at the election polls and forced into a surrender that only the realization that they have boxed themselves in a rhetorical corner and that no effort at moral equivocation will provide them any relief.

...although I agree there are cycles, there are also "eras".

I believe the era of "schooling" is quietly being replaced by computer ideology.

We are living in the transition stage, our old societal values replaced by a digitally processed civilization.

Used for thousands of years as primary transportation, the horse was replaced by the automobile in a couple of decades, during which traffic was chaotic.

-

Ai and its ancillary invasive nature will eliminate the need to remember.

Humans will seek stimulation and instantaneousness, with little need to recant previous lessons, as the computer will handle staple necessities.

-

To us older folks, the "history" taught to us in K thru 12 is already history.

Are we dumber for it, younger folks tend to think so...

-

Even today many tasks are dependent upon robotic Ai computer for alert, engagement and completion.

Did you remember to pay your utility bill, or did your computer remind you?

Did you know your car needs a tune-up, or did it tell you?

Did you know it's supposed to rain Thursday or did a weather program tell you?

-

How did people know what time it was prior to the founding of time.

Likely they did not have a need to... or struggled with it.

But since the advent of time, there has been the absolute necessity for a clock.

-

The advent of computerization can make necessary that which was not, and visa- versa.

IMO machine has reached the threshold of mankind and now is banging on the door to get in...

A new era is in the offing... the only thing we do know are things we thought we knew are about to change.

"It doesn't matter who you vote for (or what you/they believe?) because they're all the same."

The last several years and days have put LIE to that particular leftist smokescreen - yet Bill persists in spite of the evidence of my eyes and ears.

The Biden Horde and their whores in the "media" have been telling us that it's Whitey Righty, and ONLY him, that is and has been the "existential threat" to our "democracy", even though we live in a Representative Republic. Funny - they have screeched this from the rooftops without offering a 𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗟𝗘 instance of "White Supremacist", "Right Wing" or "Fundamental Christian" violence. All the while we watched leftists and their domestic enemy, bought-and-paid-for street scum riot, burn down buildings, loot and steal, destroy infrastructure, trash vehicles and even, yes, injure and murder people in the street. Yet Trump and the rest of the America Lovers are the problem.

I don't know how we get out of this peacefully - 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙚𝙛𝙩 𝙬𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙞𝙩. Obviously Bill and the "media" are going to continue lying and gaslighting about whom are the violent ones until they no longer have breath.

Well, the bear has been poked, the fuse has been lit - sadly, the cowardly, effeminate, mentally-ill left thinks they know what actual violence, mayhem and war look like. They don't because it is 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 more personal than a video game. It breaks my heart for America that they are fixing to be shown how wrong they are, but from their leadership down to their homeless psychopath, they have zero interest in coexisting. Ok, Bill, we all hate violence and war--well, most of us anyway--but your comments on the Middle East were not well thought out. First of all, saying that Biden gave Bibi some sort of "green light" is laughable. Bibi doesn't seek permission from anyone for anything. And he shouldn't. Reasonable people may differ on Israel's right to exist at all, but if you accept that then you have to acknowledge that it's been in an existential battle for over 75 years. It is a small nation, surrounded by enemies insanely dedicated to wiping it off the map. It's fought several major wars against superior forces, and its people have been subject to countless terrorist attacks and rocket assaults that come almost daily. What's happening in Gaza is horrible, but it's ground zero in a war, and the object of a war is not to see how little damage you can do and how few civilians you can kill. It's to win. The Israelis are not committing "war crimes," which is a redundancy. War is the crime. Gaza is no different from Dresden or Hiroshima. You do what you have to do to win, that's the ugly truth. And here's another ugly truth: the carnage would stop if Hamas surrendered; its leadership won't do that and they don't care how many of their innocent civilians die in Allah's name. That they use people as human shields should be utterly repugnant to everyone. Now, as to Qatar. I'd suggest reading Douglas Murray for some perspective. The reason for the Israeli hit is that several top Hamas "leaders" live in luxury there, off of the hundreds of millions in foreign aid that they siphoned into their own pockets. They are not negotiators, they are conscienceless, cowardly thieves who watch from safety as those they supposedly fight for are slaughtered. Qatar shelters them, and good for Israel for going after them....

The CIA had something to do with the attack on the World Trade Center to have an excuse to go to war against Afghanistan and Iraq. 2. The CIA followed most of the terrorists coming to California and into schools learning to fly large planes. 3. Also the buildings fell perfectly down similar to buildings being demolished for future buildings. 4. The plane that attacked the pentagon hit the area where documents were kept where much of the money spent was documented. More than 3 trillion dollars became unaccounted for.
