I don't think it's a surprise that the 30 yr rate is going up. It isn't going to reverse. Plenty of cash for the time when good dividend paying stocks are worth buying a LOTS OF METAL that I started buying back in the 70's. As for the illegal question, THE WORD SPEAKS FOR ITSELF! I didn't work all my life to hand out goodies to people that have no legal right to be here. It is even a greater crime when regular citizens can't get the hand outs the ILLEGAL's get!
Isn't the real question whether the Fed ultimately has only two choices? Either allow long-term Treasury yields to rise, with all the consequences for government financing and asset prices, or suppress yields through bond purchases (yield curve control), effectively monetizing part of the debt. If political pressure makes the first option unacceptable, doesn't the adjustment simply shift from higher yields to a weaker dollar and higher inflation?

BUT on the Debt Bomb Bill is correct and the other factoid he forgot to mention is Republicans for decades had to replenish the DOD after the Democrats destroyed it and instead gave out FREE MONEY to ne'er do wells, non workers, illegals and felons, and also werent minding the store on A TRILLION DOLLARS OF MEDICARE FRAUD...OMG!, so we have to do that to PROTECT us and our allies and the free flow of commerce and OIL from the likes of.....wait for it......the JIHADISTS IN IRAN and Yemen and NIGERIA AND ALL OVER.....so that is why Republicans raise the debt level (which btw increases tax revenues and JOBS).
BUT YES BILL the Debt Bomb is real and serious and I am very concerned...not in a bunker yet but Iam long a LOT OF GOLD (etfs and miners) and holding on tight. Timeframe? I dunno. Best guess is 2-3 years but I will listen and watch DYSON VERY CLOSELY. And Rickards and Casey and Rick Rule etc.
