Bill, you have to admit that you are an old-fashioned, P/E type of guy without much interest in envisioning or making predictions about the future, or taking risks on the latter. Many would probably have difficulty envisioning today's giants like Apple, Amazon, Google and many similar ones 10-15-20 years ago. I am in my seventies, and I traded Amazon in-and-out when it was under $10 about twenty years ago. It did not have any P/E at the time, and to my regret I did not keep any stock. Look where it is now! Only one in ten bets on future might be realized, but the one which work out could hand you the riches. Happy holidays. Sid

Ah yes and unlike Bitcoin, crypto's and ETF's, at least Apple, Amazon and Google produce product that actually contain some value.

Hi Bill

Thank you for still allowing us to get access to your excellent musings.

I have been reading your diary for more years than I care to remember and have benefitted immeasurably from your many pearls of wisdom as well as having been royally entertained by your enduring sense of humour.

Thank you.

It is really all about Jesus, our Savior! What He thinks about us is all that matters. Blessed Christmas to you and yours. H. Waters, Jr.

Wasn't it Jesus himself who told us to 'stay put, I'll be back'. This this world is looking at a galaxy about to be in turmoil by one gas cloud coming at us. I don't think bitcoin and the block chain is up for functionality in such as that. Hmmm?

Seems everybody is predicting the future. Let me join in. I predict Miss Wood will be indicted for fraud. The only thing she proved was PT Barnum's axiom. There is a sucker born every minute. And a fool and his money are soon parted.

Ms. Wood's prediction for BTC to reach a certain value within an error of 10,000$ in an uncertain time frame?

What does that mean?

I predict gold will reach 20,435$ within a time frame.

Equivalent value of forecast statements)?

I should be as famous as Ms. Wood.

When this dying global fiat empire collapses and by default an honest 100% gold backed currency is restored, I predict gold will be valued even more than Lyndon's forecast. Lyndon may not be as famous as Ms. Wood, but he is far more accurate with his thinking.

Ms Wood corralled the internet nicely, perhaps too nicely. Thanks for continuing to provide those of us more down to earth with your insights, and values.

The comment about making sausage made me laugh because the Aelpher Gruppe Swiss Society in Newark, CA wasn't certain that they would be able to secure blood sausage for the annual dinner. The old timers who made blood & liver sausage in the past have died.

When I visited my relatives in Nordenstadt, Germany for the first time in 1981, breakfast consisted of dark bread with three kinds of sausage after prayers from the Bible.
