Many people have insane ideas, as Mr Foley proves, but who cares? We hear constant nonsense every day and it’s mostly junk and fake news to upset and divide the masses. Watching the news yesterday(for 5 minutes) about the 50 or so real refugees from South Africa, and the assault on these people from the left just proves how truly disgusting, ignorant and disgraceful the leftist in America have become. We live in such a blessed world at an incredible time in history, and because of our own actions, have blessed lives. These poor demented freaks on the left have insane lives, and surround themselves with more insane people that actually agree and promote their demented behavior. This my dear fellow readers is the difference between America’s left and right, or Right and Wrong…

Steve, I so fully agree…..but for one portion of your offering….

Left wing, counter culture kooks are not a new phenomenon…..they have been around forever. Many outgrow their goofy thinking when they try to get jobs and feed themselves and realize, like it or not, that socialism just doesn’t work…..

Expand full comment
StarboardEdge's avatar

They too have had a Sea Change. Fewer and fewer are outgrowing the Lunacy, and even less are "getting jobs and trying to feed themselves." We have a permanent 20%+ of the population that are Victims for Life - just ask them and they'll explain in-depth about their "oppressors" and how there is no way out. In fact, there is a growing subset that permanently affirms their mental illness through pharmaceuticals and irreversible surgery - and a massive, evil contingent that enables them.

The Days grow short, friends...

Ya’ know Starboard, you are probably correct, but sooner or later “life” does have a way of balancing the scales and these fringe folks do deside that life really isn’t unfair and with some effort they can right their ship or go ahead and sink. It’s their choice.

Bill writes; "You can blame white men for the world’s ills. But when it came to plumbing and internal combustion engines, white men were on the ball."

Also very strange that before sub-Saharan Africa was colonised there are no signs of building construction, aqua/via ducts, domes, arches, columns or wheels. Then these pesky white men came and ruined it all, bringing with them all this unsettling knowhow.

Debt the elephant in the room. Glad you have mentioned it Nobody seems to want to mention the word "DEBT" nor how to fix it.

Either a default or it will be inflated away. Neither are pretty solutions. Living within our and the govt's means gets no mention.

An Ol' LSO's avatar

Actually neither "default" nor "inflation" are a solution. For the U.S. debt bubble along with the $100T derivative bubble, it will just keep increasing until it "blows sky high" making all fiat currencies world wide become worth zero, nada, zlitch in a flash. Now - some may call that a "default" but when the US$ goes bye-bye because no one will take "more" US$ that is a whole different outcome. US$ are there to pay the debt but no one wants them. It is the 4th Turning. The Empire is moving and it isn't staying in the good ol' USofA - reality awaits ahead!

Just sayin':

Proverbs 13:4 ESV

The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied.

Proverbs 18:9 ESV

Whoever is slack in his work is a brother to him who destroys.

Genesis 3:19 ESV

By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

Proverbs 21:25 ESV

The desire of the sluggard kills him, for his hands refuse to labor.

Proverbs 26:14 ESV

As a door turns on its hinges, so does a sluggard on his bed.

Proverbs 6:6 ESV

Go to the ant, O sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise.

In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to poverty.

From the deepest darkness depths of the abyss, the cesspool of………hahaha, just kidding Star-Man, let’s take a different approach.

Mr. Bonner is right, Capitalism is the backbone of our modern civilization. The trusty old spine that keeps the world turning and the lights on. As he mentioned, if you’ve ever enjoyed a hot shower, an ice-cold beverage, or a late-night Netflix binge, you can thank capitalism and the tireless drive it inspires. It’s not just an economic system, it’s a civilization engine, an ever-churning machine of progress, fueled by the human desire for comfort, security, and the occasional absurd luxury. Sure, some dummies argue it’s time to toss this system aside, but when you consider what Mr. Bonner said, that kings and emperors of old couldn’t dream of the comforts available to the average person today, it’s clear that this grand experiment in free markets is doing something right. Our God-chosen president, The American Savior, The Son of Fred, Lord Trump, the captain of this capitalist ship steers us through the choppy waters of economic turbulence, ensuring that the promise of opportunity remains within reach for those willing to grab it. As long as the spirit of innovation, Sir Musk, and the freedom to pursue one’s own fortune remain at the heart of our economy, capitalism will continue to be the sturdy backbone of this great nation.

We march to the beat we hear. The media constantly spouts about the cost of buying a home. What era was buying a first time home cheap? The beat I grew up too was, "if you don't like it, you can change it." The wife and I started in an apartment, had one car, progressed to two cars, bought our first small home. We paid for our college education and child care. Progressed to larger homes. We accomplished this without one single Federal handout. Change the beat.
