Note also that the Government artificially setting short term interests rates at 0% is in effect a 100% tax on the interest they would otherwise have been earning in a free market.

It's nice to have different tab for different author like had in rogueeconomics. It's easy to navigate.

Thanks Bill. I really enjoyed the beer - wine analogy. As you may recall, I’m a “beer aficionado” (was that an oxymoron?) with a wine-snobs income and work for governments (municipal finance) in making those decisions that are normally hidden from the beer drinkers. You are one of the very few that, in plain language, reveal to the ordinary guy in flyover country (my address) what is really happening to them, and, more importantly, who is truly responsible.

It is very appreciated. (Joey)

You are a long-time detractor of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, Bill . . . Just wondering what your take is on the discussions in the Fed regarding a national cryptocurrency? Despite Powell's protestations to the contrary, I think they'll do it and it will be a disaster.

Definitely something we'll address in the first monthly newsletter, which Tom Dyson is putting together right now. Dan Denning is going through the Fed's report and is updating his original research on 'The Chicago Plan' and changes to the money system. Paid subscribers can expect both on Wednesday, when the newsletter is published. Tom, by the way, is focusing full-time on research for the monthly newsletter and weekly updates.

I tried to respond to your response to me today--no go--so will try here. You might tell your Irish bank that Discover owns Diners Club, so they can bill through them, that is how I used Discover to purchase item while in Machu Picchu. Hope this helps. Ralph

I tried again, one minute ago, please fix your system. The World, takes Discover. What is your issue?

Mr Wood, as we've said, we're trying to resolve the issue with our Irish bank. They don't take Discover Cards from locations outside the United States, apparently. We've contacted you privately to suggest an alternative in the meantime. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your patience (and persistence). We appreciate it,.

Hi Bill. As a now sober alcoholic of a “certain “ age, I wonder where I would fit on the wine beer spectrum. Ha ha😋

Love your missives
