While I agree with you in most things, with all due respect I am troubled. I understand the subjective nature of "good and bad", "right and wrong" "evil and good" etc. I understand the horror, destruction, and inefficiency of war. But at some point, must not mankind put a stake in the ground? If someone attacks my wife, should I not defend her? If someone cuts heads off babies, should I not morally do something to stop that behavior? Is there no line at which retaliatory violence is not called for? I know this is a rhetorical question. It is easy to criticize all war. It is easy to question any act of violence for whatever reason it is perpetrated. Was "turning the other cheek" meant as an absolute under any circumstances? Again, rhetorical question. But if you answer "yes", you are a better Buddhist/Christian/Saint than I Gunga Din.
