Trump may be a blow hard, arrogant and full of himself, in contrast to the idiot in chief we currently have I for one would welcome him back. I can discount his likeability (I don't really like him) in favor of his policies. He was the only modern President to keep the peace, he did create a booming economy and was making friends out of those we thought were adversaries for decades. It has been said at that level of Politics, it is the strongest school yard bully that earns respect. Look at the others Xi, Putin...Rocket man - all wanna BE's. Say what you will, condemn my views, in the end his policies worked for everyone. Domestic and Foreign.

Well said and I'm certain you echo the thinking and sentiments of many (including those that are now thinking it, but won't express it due to an aversion to being mocked, criticized, screamed at, etc.). Unfortunately, Trump is unelectible. His Favorables/Unfavorables are way too far upside down with Independents and they're not that great even with Republicans. And, Democrats are willing to walk across broken glass on their lips to vote AGAINST Trump. This is not the stuff of winning general election campaigns, despite all the great things about Trump that you set forth nicely.

Most people should be willing to vote for a bottle of ketchup over the clown show that's in the White House right now, but most people are sheep and can't or won't bother to think themselves out of a paper sack. This country is in serious trouble.

I agree with most if not all of your commentary - However, I think we all were amazed he (Trump) pulled it off the first time. Some would say the second as well, me? I don't know. I do know that for the asshat to gain 81Million votes, well, lets just say i haven't seen one packed rally, one lawn sign in his favor - sure seems odd he pulled more votes then Obama. However, lets not look back, onward to war.... Thanks joe.

He could have been a suburb president if he was not so flawed a person.

His life-long abuse of the truth, of tax codes, of dodging military service combined with his abysmal lack of diplomacy, his ready-fire-aim disposition and his role instigating an attack on our Capitol will forever besmirch him and by extension his policies.

The Book of Trump is still being written. Its last chapters have all the earmarks of being especially sad.

And War, like nothing else, not even public health emergencies, allows total control of a country and its’ citizens. They can ration everything under the sun without opposition, including what days of the week you can drive, whether you can drive at all and how far you can go. They can replace meat on the store shelves with bugs. They can declare war induced public health, financial and climate emergencies that require the total surrender of your body, your bank account and your right to breathe. There is no end to it.

So it is the love of money and the love of power and control that are driving us inexorably towards WWIII. If cooler heads prevail, they don’t reside in America.

I think many here miss your point(s). Are you direct and concise, absolutely! Does everyone agree with you on everything (including me)? Of course not, but they've come to be more than a little hypocritical and that's what you're calling out which is commendable. (How that's lost on so many is astounding.)

I've never sat on a fence more than five minutes in my life. Yet, I find myself squarely on the fence with this Ukraine situation. I am all in that Putin is a f**k and needs to be put down like the rabid dog he is. But, with all the high-tech and highly skilled "special forces" that many countries supposedly (particularly Israel) possess why hasn't it happened by now? Secondarily, If the brass inside Russia are tired and fed up with Putin's act, why haven't they solved the problem by now?

The whole thing is beginning to feel like a massive ruse. You said yourself, the best wars are over quickly and decisively. We're now a year in and there's no end in sight. WHY?

In closing, Bibi needs to act and act soon. You are totally correct about Iran getting a nuclear weapon. We can stick our heads in the sand all we want and we will end up being sand. FOOLS!

Dave Jay. I really don’t understand your hatred of Putin. Did Putin attack 25 or 30 countries since 1990? Is it possible you’re listening to the propaganda? We’ve been fed since birth regarding Russia? As to why he’s not taken out in Russia, he is wildly popular there. The war is going exactly has he wants. He has prosecuted this war precisely to save civilians. This is his 1962 Cuban missile crisis writ large. Please don’t listen to PG as he is a crazy person regarding Ukraine. He also likes the vaccines, the Fed. And he is willing to fight for Ukraine war no matter what the financial cost to us. Putin has no aspirations to take over Europe. Just my humble opinion.

Have you read Putin's missive from July of 2021? It doesn't say he "has no aspirations to take over Europe". On the contrary, he wants to reestablish the Russian Empire, pre-Soviet Republic. He invaded a country that wanted its sovereignty and his army committed war crimes and unspeakable atrocities. That doesn't seem to be the stuff of "a good guy".

Hey Dave, no I did miss the speech that you’re talking about. But I have heard Putin speak directly about the war. He says what I believe. He does not want Ukraine to be a NATO. in 1990 when the old Russian empire collapsed, NATO promised him they would not move 1 inch eastward. Look at the NATO borders now compared to the promise. I saw him speak about 2015. This is where he said “America is agreement incapable.” Trump said he would like to be a friend of Russia and I so much agree. Hey Dave, if you could post that speech, I would like to see it or hear it. Thank you sir.

If tomorrow never comes

Will she know how much I loved her

Did I try in every way to show her every day

That she's my only one

And if my time on earth were through

And she must face this world without me

Is the love I gave her in the past

Gonna be enough to last

If tomorrow never comes

So tell that someone that you love

Just what you're thinking of

If tomorrow never comes

Not PV here. Looks like Russian 7.62X39. Steel case but decent stuff. Notice the red annular seal around the neck. Makes it last longer. My wife used to sell it at gun shows years ago and she never got complaints, only repeat customers. Edit: wife says the bullet is too long and skinny for 7.62. I got one out to look and she might be right. There was this odd ball stuff we called “Russian .223” which was something like 5.45 x 39. That might be it in the picture. It’s been a while, but pretty sure it’s not 5.56 NATO.

I believe your second guess is better, Mark. The 7.62x39 is too large in relation to Ben's head. I'm confident those cartridges are in fact 5.45x39s---originally introduced by the Soviet Union for the AK-74.

I’m going to go with Invector and say best guess is 5.45x39. I said my wife and I referred to it as “Russian .223”. Not that it matters much, but just to make sure there’s no confusion, 5.45x39 is not the equivalent of Remington .223 which, dimensionally speaking, IS the equivalent of 5.56 NATO, though the 5.56 NATO is hotter than .223 Remington and should not be used in guns chambered for .223 Remington only. The cartridge pictured has a much longer bullet than .223 and is uniquely Russian. And just to top it off, the Russians do produce copious quantities of steel cased Remington .223, though my understanding is that imports are now limited. More than you wanted to know, I’ll bet.

Thankyou Dan. You are speaking on behalf of a lot of us here. PGV insists he is a Christian and in one post he championed the Bible. So with that in mind , for the sake of any atheists in here, may I ask for the following to be considered please.

Christ said to his followers recorded here in John 13:34-35: “I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, you also love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples-if you have love among yourselves” Christ was a model for anyone who calls themselves a Christian. Throwing insults and name-calling others with whom we disagree is a sign of loss of control. No one is perfect or can show perfect love; sometimes we forget and let the “flesh” rule our actions...we are all guilty of that. So, free speech...yes. But Untamed tongues ?

Well...If I may, I’ll leave God’s Word (which I have studied intensely for nearly 60 years) to speak about that part of our body for anyone who is interested. ? It has a bearing on the state of this whole world of wars and more wars...

James , follower of Christ , wrote in Chapter 3 of his letter to fellow Christians: “the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it makes great brags. See how small a fire it takes to set a great forest ablaze! The tongue is also a fire.........”. (He goes on to describe what it represents ) then verse 10 says “out of the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, it is not right for things to happen this way. “. He then encourages fellow Christians to work on their personality by saying “who is wise and understanding among you? Let him by his fine conduct demonstrate works performed with a mildness that comes from wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and contentiousness in your hearts, do not be bragging and lying against the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above ; it is earthly, animalistic, demonic. For wherever there are jealousy and contentiousness, there will also be disorder and every vile thing. “

Can I borrow from PG now and put the last of James discourse in capitals ? Sorry everyone). “BUT THE WISDOM FROM ABOVE IS FIRST OF ALL PURE, THEN PEACEABLE, REASONABLE, READY TO OBEY(God), FULL OF MERCY & GOOD FRUITS, IMPARTIAL, NOT HYPOCRITICAL. MOREOVER, THE FRUIT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IS SOWN IN PEACEFUL CONDITIONS FOR THOSE WHO ARE MAKING PEACE”.

So maybe if we say we are a Christian can we then let’s keep our words to each other respectful even if we have cause to disagree. Thankyou everyone.

You might have seen that episode of Star Trek in which the Enterprise faced a mysterious and apparently malignant adversary the crew called “the Entity.” Firing at it the Enterprise’s phasers and photon torpedoes failed to destroy or even weaken that menace. Your chiding our resident “warrior” reminds me of that Star Trek episode, as PG V seems to grow ever more unbalanced and even delusional with each volley fired at him.
