“When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion - when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you - when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - you may know that your society is doomed.”

Yup. Excerpt from the famous money speech by Francisco d’Anconia. in the novel, "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand. Here's the whole speech:

Scripture warns against the love of money, not money itself. Even she could not keep it straight.

John P Gallien's avatar

Did you read the speech? She defines explicitly what she means. In any event, Bob, I'll leave you with your dogma. I'll take logic and reason.

Welcome to new somalia.

Yes Bill, the democrats have been so excited for years with the “darkening” of America and the West. Of course those darkest countries are where the most intelligent, educated and productive people come from. Only adding to the wonderful diversity and cultural wealth of our nations. Mr Bill is a huge supporter of this globalist agenda. He’s such a success with his goals. He is a little angry that President Trump is fighting against everything he stands for, but as we see in the frozen streets of Minnesota, even the freezing cold can’t keep the walking dead and brain dead from the fight 🧟‍♀️🧟🧟‍♂️

As I write this the stock market is up 500 points, the economy is growing and the gdp is north of four percent, maybe higher. Illegal border crossings by many many felon murderers, rapists, and gangsters of every kind are down to almost none. Inflation has gone down in one year from 6% to 2.5%. Our gold and silver investments are solid gains as are most everyone’s retirement and investment accounts. All done by a billionaire businessman working for free seven days a week. He gave up a lifestyle almost as good as yours to save a country sliding towards being the next Venezuela. Is your TDS so terminal you can’t squeeze out one attaboy. Pitiful.

Steve L's avatar

Thank you Bob, as those are only a few examples of the incredible work that this administration has accomplished. Only a small amount of positive progress that one man has achieved for a dying nation. Hope. Hope is what we are building on while the leftist loons, or “looters” as we like to think of these most vile creatures, are continuing to work their deranged ways to destroy. I have hope and will continue to support our country, president and people against these demented idiots.

John P Gallien's avatar

Yes, his TDS is terminal. 😊

Oh that's good to know, I guess it's okay then! SMH

Consistent with my new year's pledge to read these missives from the perspective that it, the piece, is completely correct, proper, and applicable, I was doing fine, even coming to the end when I read this: "the Republicans’ grip on Congress is likely to weaken." And I lost it, big-time lost it. Don't you have to have a grip first of all, much less one that is "likely to weaken"? Seems to me what isn't there to begin with can't be "weakened." Maybe Bill should have used a modifier, like, you know "alleged", "nominal", "theoretical", or "purported". Maybe then I could have made it to the end. A Republican grip? Get a grip! No such thing. Best always. PM

Steve L's avatar

Thank you Paul 🙏 Bill or his ghost writer friend, have been 100% wrong on everything that has been printed out of their PC for many months now. Following BPR for almost a decade now, and knowing “Bill” and how he wrote over this period, tells me we are either not dealing with “Bill” anymore, and that he has either collapsed mentally, or given his voice to a new writer. Yes Paul, seems they lost their “grip” when President Trump won for the Third Time 🤔

Another example is Drudge Report. Drudge is no longer Drudge.

"Trump added $2.25 trillion to the national debt in his first year back in charge", watchdog says.

I don't know about you Steve but I want more of this, much more!

Steve L's avatar

Thank you Tommy for some facts 🙏 the only difference is how that money is spent compared to the Biden disaster. Trillions going back into our country and replacing the destruction and corruption, including the cost for bringing in and supporting 20+million useless idiots for the democratic cult of insanity 🤔

Thomas Vincze's avatar

Trump Adoration Syndrome right here ladies and gents!

Steve L's avatar

Thank you Tommy! Couldn’t agree more🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

"A caterpillar doesn’t choose to become a butterfly. And people don’t really choose what they think."

-

I thought Mr. Bonner more enlightened...

"If" caterpillars think, they would definitely think differently once becoming a butterfly.

-

And folks do indeed choose what they think, that is, those that actually do think.

As thinking is an evolving process, rarely an epiphany.

-

The Germans, once they discovered the propagated lies of the Nazi's naturally turned against them.

Much like the lies of the progressives and globalists now unfurling...

-

The exception it seems are "liberals".

To quote Bill: "don’t really choose what they think."

Tim Pallies's avatar

Or did the Germans turn because a generation of young men were slaughtered and their country lay in ruin?

Angry Icebergs's avatar

Well that too...

My Grandfathers and Uncle were Nazi soldiers.

(one Grandfather shot in France, the other died shortly after being imprisoned by the Nazi's).

-

I did get to speak at length with my Uncle.

They had no choice but to serve.

Initially the sentiment varied within the family, as do liberals and conservatives now.

They definitely preferred the Nazi's to the Soviets.

In the 1930's Germany was in ruin, a fiscal disaster.

Initially Hitler was seen as a savior to the Germanic peoples.

Surely that's how liberals envision Trump today... as another Adolf.

Tim Pallies's avatar

I feel like you're half way there with that last line. I can't prove it, but I suspect that many liberals would see Trump as an actual dolphin--if they were told to.

I, being more enlightened, am certain that DJT is not a dolphin.

Angry Icebergs's avatar

...as enlightened as you may be, you are likely a minority.

I asked my liberal secretary how she viewed Trump...

She told me he's a dolphin with a little black mustache...

Tim Pallies's avatar

“He lost and later committed suicide”.

He probably didn’t commit suicide. That’s the official story of course. His wife tells a much different story. The evidence wasn’t exactly convincing to an objective observer. But the authorities refused to do much investigation. The long time ‘gonzo journalist’ thorn in their side was dead. Suicide or not, it was a timely death for the local authorities and politicians who hated him.

My favorite HT quote.

"The edge... There is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over”.

Hells Angels 1966

An Ol' LSO's avatar

Well, that took strong coffee to get through. Ol' Bill was on target this AM laying it out with clarity and vigor. January was a "year all by itself" and now we rumble into February with who knows what lays ahead. Maybe war in the Middle East because if Iran is attacked, it won't be a one country war and the World may see Israel disappear. And, Mr. Bonner didn't even touch on the coming fiasco in the Treasury Market. Going to be quite a month with each of the 7 days of the week having four (4) chances to bring enlightenment to us peons. Has anyone wondered that why the Epstein files took so long to release was to make sure any and all mentions of Trump were erased? Just a thought and I am sure just a conspiracy theory. Valentine's Day lays ahead - plan early!

working stiff's avatar

here he goes making up shit to support his bullshit narratives... You really must not have a lot to do, your mind constructs all theses bullshit scenarios that you then try to convince the rest of us is accurate - You certainly have become the FORK. "Fountain of redundant Knowledge"

Just another deranged useful idiot. Still trying to figure out what use🤔

I don’t know how you can stand to live in this horrible, collapsing country, Ol’ Man. You should join the other California leftists that have fled this Trumpian hell-hole. You might find a much cheerier disposition. If nothing else, do it for your mental health, man.

Just one LSO looking out for another ;-)

Bill, referencing Genesis 3:15 about the serpent, gets the pronouns backwards. The actual quote is:

" And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.” (Gen 3:15 NKJV)

Notice "her Seed" is capitalized and treated as a singular. Christians interpret this one Seed as Jesus Christ. Apostle Paul does the same in Galatians 3:16 when he identifies the promises to Abraham and to his Seed, as being fulfilled in the One Seed, Jesus the Christ. Obviously, the One bruising the head is victorious over the one bruising the heel.

You can decide where Bill's coral snake fits in. But let's get the Biblical reference right, anyway.

drtomcor's avatar

Polymarket has US/Israel strikes Iran by Feb 28 at 25% prob. So, the rest of the month should be a lesson in how to scare another dictator half to death, or all the way? Interesting times...

Kirk Monnie's avatar

Bill the article was not to bad. It's just you have to make ignorant digs! You and the NYTimes would say young woman shot by ICE, Fox news would say, woman runs into ICE officer and was shot. The truth would be, woman trained to obstruct ICE runs into ICE agent and was shot. Also the agent was dragged by a vehicle recently. All are important facts if you CAN'T control the need to talk about it. BUT kudos on a decent article from a Trump VOTER, why you have to say fans is another dig I'm talking about. Final thought, leave the tired Hitler references out, guns and religion are doing fine. Those are usually the top 2 things an authoritarian goes after as you well know.

William McLaughlin's avatar

I think the one thing that will save Republicans in the 2025 election will be its complete theft by Trump. False results. Destroyed ballots. It is a real possibility. I know plenty of people who think the anti ICE claims are bogus.

working stiff's avatar

OMG Billy boys long lost cousin....

James F's avatar

I guess you meant 2026 elections. As of now, looking at the Texas election results, things will go very bad for Republicans. But November is a long way off, so who knows? I'm predicting that if Republicans lose, Trump will claim the election was stolen.

Steve L's avatar

No fear James, come November, the SAVE act will be passed, laws for Photo ID and American citizens only will be passed, and the democratic cult of insanity and corruption will come to an assured conclusion, with many thousands prosecuted for crimes against humanity and America 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

James F's avatar

The SAVE act has almost no chance of passing. I voted for Trump twice, and then after he lost the 2020 election he tried to take over the govt with that ridiculous Jan 6 coup attempt. Then I started reading books about Trump, and am now up to #28. General Kelly sums Trump up well: "He's the most flawed person I've ever known." What baffles me is why people remain in the Trumplican cult, where their Dear Leader can do no wrong.

Steve L's avatar

You may have voted for President Trump twice, but after the 2020 election was stolen, you should have realized our country was under attack. If you have known me and my much better understanding of our current, typical NY liberal President, you would know that he was the last of my pick out of the 15 candidates running in 16, and any of the others would have destroyed Hillary because she is lower than the worst 💩 of the democratic cult. But enough of my time on this nonsense. Wake up and stop reading globalist nonsense, including Mr Bill here, and try to find a little reasoning behind your BS…..because from here, you’re just another useless idiot

James F's avatar

If you still think the 2020 election was stolen, despite no evidence, you are indeed a faithful member of the Trumplican cult. You do realize your cult is getting smaller by the day, right?

Steve L's avatar

No worries James, if you had any doubts, the truth is on its way. It’s going to be so intense that even the most ignorant will believe. So please James, just relax, continue buying lots of silver and crypto over the next couple of months, and enjoy the show, because it’s going to be “big, huge and beautiful” 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Worm Farmer extraordinaire's avatar

James, I see all the flaws. Southern border is closed. We quit the world, health organization and the parish climate courts. Huge strides for health with HHS. Favorite nation status with drugs. I could go on forever almost. Again many flaws but look at the competition, my friend. You must be a statist.

Cat's avatar

Come November the Republican cult of insanity and corruption will come to an assured conclusion with Trump et.al. prosecuted for crimes against humanity and the Constitution.

Steve L's avatar

🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 God help your delusional brain 🧟‍♀️🧟🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️🧟🧟‍♀️

stopped reading about half way through. I actually thought you might make it, but alas, no. More of the same old blah, blah, blah - still not one alternative presented. You really have become quite boring as you (as Reagan said) "Ride off into the sunset"..... oh yea, one more thing...

Blah, Blah, the bit bopping, diddle diddle do, blah.....

Pick a new target already, we get it - you hate Trump at all costs. The man could cure cancel and you would post he is putting Hospitals and Doctors out of business - we get it.

We also get, YOU have no alternatives. Just constant bitching. There look, you got me doing it...

Cat's avatar

Speaking of alternatives, what was the date of your column about what you, Bill, would do to balance the budget? I would like to read it again.

Jimm Roberts's avatar

Try writing a thoughtful rejoinder

Clear: You don't like the inferences he draws from Trump's actions.

Not Clear: Why?

John P Gallien's avatar

Mr. Bonner writes in today's column:

"A caterpillar doesn’t choose to become a butterfly. And people don’t really choose what they think."

Ah, does that mean you're a determinist Mr. Bonner? And does it apply to you? If so, what does that say about your columns?

Invector's avatar

Cut him some slack, John.

If people can't choose what they think, then Bill can't choose what he writes. 😉

Steve L's avatar

Bill also evidently can’t choose what he thinks anymore

Mark H's avatar

Fallujah ready? pfft.

Maybe some commentary on the metal markets would be in order instead of the usual tds bullshit, or are you waiting to copy cnns opinion

That coral snake was just minding its own business. WHY would a jackboot thug murder it? Nicaragua should be importing more of them. They're to work.

Somebody wandered outside the resort.....

I do appreciate another Hitler reference though...

stirich's avatar

Well, at least Bill was smart enough to kill the damn snake

I saw the picture of it and went oh shit he’s gonna let that thing live I bet! Especially after he was quoting a Bible verse.

But I was wrong. That’s because I did some thinking.

david menkhaus's avatar

Wasn’t reading Bill 2 years ago — was he questioning Biden’s mental competence?

🤣😂🤣😂🤣, no David, but it was about the time Bill started losing his….
