If the feds were to achieve the objective — a lower dollar — consumer prices would rise. Wage earners would lose jobs (at least in the short-run). Investors would lose money in stocks.
I’m not going to debate Bill on this missive - I’m out-classed, out-gunned and there is a significant probability that Bill (and the “I live in perpetual Fear” crowd) are right.
But isn’t Fear at the root of why we all subscribe to BPR? Fear of the “Big Loss”, fear of a forced reduction in our personal Standard of Living, Fear of life without Freedom for our children. So Fear can be “healthy” I guess- but only in moderation. And to be Happy, IMO, if one must engage in the emotion you need to control it, not let it loom over everything you think, say or write.
Do Trump’s actions look crazy and dangerous? I dunno - he seems to have found Success in the past using similar strategies. Will it work again? I reckon we’ll see, it’s not like we have a choice. I AM sure of one thing that Bill is gaslighting about - there is most CERTAINLY a well-considered Plan in play here. Trump’s second term is proving that he has thought through these issues, decided what he believes is the best course for America, and surrounded himself with people who can make those things happen (treasonous, narcissistic “judges” aside.) So very refreshing when you consider who our “leader” might have been. I, for one, am going to give him the benefit of the doubt and a bit of leeway on this- time will tell if that’s a mistake or if he really is the “Stable Genius” he says he is.
After all, so many “prestigious” publications and no less than Bill Bonner himself are constantly second guessing and throwing mud from the cheap seats. If/When Trump pulls this off, there will be so much egg on faces that the price for a dozen will go back up to Biden levels…
Trump might be wrong but doing what we have been doing has resulted in over $36T in debt and jobs at McDs considered careers which is insanity and sure disaster. He isa t least doing something to try and save the middle class.
That can't happen with a non-production, "service" economy. Either we find a way to be leaders in production, as opposed to ideas, again, or we continue to reside in the toilet. We need hard money and less government to accomplish it. I think that's where President Trump is ultimately trying to go. Best always. PM
Thanks Paul, you’re exactly right! I was thinking the same thing about our “service” economy. How in the world anyone thought a service/CONSUMER economy would work, is beyond me. Other than sabotage, the only thing that makes sense. Our politico’s have been bought, blackmailed and paid for. I’m praying for President Trumps success, the Lord willing!
My Russian ex wife was amazed when she came to Australia at our service economy, she couldn't understand it. Ofc we don't make much of anything any more, manufacturing gone from these shores now.
Bill: So far not so great. Yeah, he’s terrific with his current picks who don’t know how to send encrypted messages and most were not even candidate material.
Dorothy, please don’t tell me that Sullivan, myorkas, or any of biden’s group we’re candidate material. Or Harris for that matter. They got us into Russia Ukraine conflict, hurt Israel with their policies and weakness, oh I give up your eyes are closed. Hegseth was wrong to not own up to using signal and detailing attack plans. They were wrong and should have owned it.
Tlasso: Sullivan was the National Security Advisor to Biden. He worked in the Obama administration as assistant to the president and National Security Advisor to Vice President Joe Biden. He became Biden’s top security aide in February 2013 after Clinton stepped down as secretary of state. Mayorkas Alejandro is an American attorney and government official who was the seventh U.S.security, serving from 2021 until 2025. The whole group of Trump’s staff can’t do much but deny that No classified info was sent over Signal, which is not true. Dum Dee Dum Dum Dee. I think our adversaries didn’t act on it because they thought no one would be so dumb as to send that kind of sensitive material that way. live and learn!
SE: Then you enlighten me! The Signal scandal so so stupid and should never have happened. Top secret information was given out on an unsecured line. Maybe Fox has exposed and shown what was sent. CNN did. Very interesting. Try reading it sometime.
Ol' SE, you are spot-on. A concern though in Trump's plan is all the roadblocks being thrown up. And, I think how he responds is critical. The biggest is how he decides to tackle the "treasonous, nacissistic judges". It appears the Supreme Court may not make the right decision and shut the lower federal courts down. Although I do think Trump needs to do something sooner about it than later. The other problem is the Middle East and Israel's total control over him. If he doesn't see the genocide for what it is and stops all U.S. support - it is going to get truly ugly. As you say - "we will see, it's not like we have a choice". As always - just a view.
Ol LSO, you want to learn a bunch about what is going on then go to the Coffee and Covid Substack. Amazingly informative. Trump got a huge win from the courts recently. You can join for free and it is written by a lawyer but he writes so even I can understand.
An Ol LSO: Treasonous, Narcissistic Judges?? Well, if it ends at the Supreme Court and they do their job, his plan will fail. I think The Supreme Court will make the correct decision. Although, it’s has been a little questionable in the past.
I think she is "for" deporting then illegal invaders and trying to get rid of the Theft, Fraud and Abuse. Trouble is, it's Donald j. Trump and the "R's" driving the effort, so the Conditioned Hatred won't let her, or any of the other immature libtardes publicly support these policies - in spite of the fact that NO ONE on the left aside of the aisle would EVER dream of proposing these actions.....
Tlasso: I’m definitely for getting rid of corruption and waste. But the way it’s being done is not good. Elon and his kids are going through like a buzz saw..Hacking away w/o regard of doing it properly. Then having to return some of the employees since they were vital to running the company.
You need to watch the recent interview by Brett Bair on Fox with the people working in DOGE. He just asked simple questions and the people, all extremely intelligent and successful private executives, gave astonishing answers of what they have found and are fixing. YouTube it and if you actually watch it your eyes will be opened. Less than .15 % of government employees have been fired. Easy to see because count the military not being let go that makes up a large percentage. The news both left and right skew everything to get you to believe awful things. Oh and these are not kids!
THIS is so very True. That was a vital 38 minutes that ALL Americans should take the time to watch. It should embarrass people with Dorothy's mind-set, but we have come to realize that leftardes have no idea what Shame is nor can they even conceive that they could be wrong about anything.
Oh well - that will be to their detriment when all is said and done...
SE: Hitler lover! Never. I love America and I don’t appreciate that comment. I wouldn’t even accuse you of that..but I’m beginning to wonder. You seem to enjoy making nasty comments. The arrogant moron is you. What a great christian you are Not. Maybe you should reread my response. I’m NOT against DEPORTING people who come in illegally.
Agree! However, in terms of the egg on face comment, there is always the possibility of a visa versa, and in this case the number of players trying to make sure that is what happens is concerning. We will see, there is reason to be optimistic and a lot of reason not to be. In the meantime there is too much noise to really understand the facts and figures, particularly at my level.
I appreciate your moderation this time, Starboard.
However, due to the continuing adversarial politicalization of this comments forum, which I feel distracts from the stated valuable purpose of the Bonner Private Research team, I have [almost totally] withdrawn from reading or making comments...for the forseeable future.
SE it’s been a tumultuous 2 months. It seems, even if Trump did everything right, the craziness of the US would prevent it. I read WAPO and it’s very discouraging, Dorothy would be right at home. It seems that lies are so pervasive, discernment in such short supply that there is no reality. We know there is.
I have been busy reading Stalingrad, not a bad novel; The Harvard Classics, all 44k pages, probably a 4 year quest. But what interests me most is: The Wages of Destruction by Adam Tooze. Somehow, I believe, within this economic analysis of The Third Reich, is the solution for the regeneration of America as a self sufficient mega manufacturing economy even given the complexities of world interdependent trade.
SE: Maybe it won’t be just mud…Crazy and Dangerous..you bet. Thought he was suppose to run the country Not buy (or take) other countries). Where will we get the money for that?? From us, no doubt. He’s a real estate man not a diplomat or presidential person. I think he is only going to make our economy worse, NOT Better!
The USA will use its military and economic power to, at least effectively if not legally, incorporate Greenland for National Security reasons.
Errr...how is that different to the PRC claiming the South China Sea, establishing bases, and proclaiming an Air Identification Zone through much of that area?
I know that the USA are the good guys, of course I do, but I'd like to understand the actual difference between the USA and the PRC. It's getting hard to tell them apart.
Maybe you should take another look at "We are the good guys" belief. Just this century we have destroyed Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and Libya. Interesting side line is that Obama successfully brought slavery back to Libya.
Now, we are bombing Yemen because the Houthis have the temerity to oppose the Israel genocide in Gaza.
Maybe the "We are the good guys" belief helps facilitate all these invasions.
Agreed, Cartero - everything except for the Houthis rationale. Oppose what you perceive as a “genocide” all you want- just don’t interfere with Global Shipping in International Waters. That accomplishes nothing but bringing down a world of hurt on your mud huts. I get that a Country and people as poor as Yemen don’t have many options to show their hatred, but taking potshots at other Nation's boats is NOT a viable solution - as they are now learning…
The Houthis asked Israel to stop tbe genocide in Gaza. Wouldn't it be cheaper just to tell Israel to stop it rather than wasting our tax dollars bombing a third world country. All those savings the genius Musk is finding are being used to fund Nuttyyahoo and his project for a Greater Israel. And still no mention of Musk cutting his own government bennies like EV subsidies.
You don’t know that what you wrote in the first paragraph is how things will actually go down. That is completely counter to how Trump has operated in the past. He’s way more about the carrots than he is the sticks. We shall see…
Thanks Starboard, you took the words right out of my mouth. I believe President Trump is playing the world like a fiddle. We’ll have to wait and see how it all plays out but Mr Bill is being gaslighted into oblivion! I really am a little concerned for the man. I’ve been following him for a very long time and have always enjoyed his missives, agree or not, he’s always been very engaging and entertaining. I don’t even remember him being this vitriolic about President Trump the first go round?! Maybe it’s just me but I can hardly even finish some of the nonsense that he’s been spewing recently. It’s not engaging, humorous or written with any of the panache I used to look forward to. Anyhoo, I’m trying to sort it out.
Yup. They have nearly ALL lost their minds. Keying the vehicles (and worse, much worse) of STRANGERS because Musk is uncovering the Theft and Fraud of EVERYONE'S tax dollars? WTAF?? In what universe does that make even a TINY bit of sense??!
I don’t know SE. Well, I take it back brother, I know exactly what kind of world that is. The kind of world we’ve been living in since The Fall of humanity. Christ is our only hope. And always has been.
I’m trying to understand Trump’s rationale for the auto tariffs, and how they could even work from just an accounting standpoint. There are 18 foreign auto, van and truck plants in the US(In 1985 there were zero). These plants are located in places like Alabama, Tennessee, the Carolinas, Ohio, Texas, even California. They assemble many of the most popular models for Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai/Kia, Mazda, Volkswagen, Mercedes, BMW, Volvo and Stellantis(formerly Chrysler). They use parts shipped to their plants from all over the world, include Made in USA parts. The auto industry is perhaps the best model for a truly global industry. Everything is literally made in every industrialized country, and GM and Ford have a stable of foreign assembly plants located around the world, including in China, East Asia, Europe, Africa, India. In short, anywhere automobiles are manufactured in the world, nearly every automobile manufacturer in the world has a presence there. This is especially true for US, Japanese and German manufacturers but is by no means limited geographically or nationally. So how does one account for(literally) tariffs in the auto industry? What could they possibly accomplish that would be a “net” good for the US or the global industry, any player? It’s a giant accounting nightmare, a ball of wax and confusion. I’d love to hear the answer,
and I can’t believe that Trump or his advisers are ignorant of what I just wrote.
Brien, the government killed the auto industry. It's as simple as that. They insisted on efficiency improvements for which the technology did not exist and had a 10-year lead-time requirement. That forced the auto industry to build to government specs, not what the market wanted to buy. Oh, my... what did I just say? That sounds an awful lot like communism, doesn't it? Best always. PM
Yes I agree Paul. They did that on the product side with regulations on emissions and MPG in Europe and the US. But they left the structuring of the industry up to the industry for the most part. It was a globalization thing, meaning no single nation or group of nations determined what the production and offshoring footprint would look like. As far as product performance goes, the EU drove the Germans out of the car business(a work still in progress) with Green Energy mandates, as did CARB(California) and the EPA in the US. The EV mandates would have been(without Trump’s intervention) the final nail in the coffin. It may still turn out that way if they can’t turn the EV R&D spigot off and turn the IC spigot back on, which may prove impossible at this point. Billions in EV investment that can never be recouped. Insanity really.
Brian . I remember along time ago when I was taking automotive in high school. The teacher said back then that one had developed a carburetor that would get 50 miles to the gallon. This was when they actually built cars out of steel . Like an "x" and "a" straight frame underbody. Weight was not a factor. But what happened to the patent? It was bought out by the oil companies. The technology was there back in the 70's. Did not need government intervention, just common sense.
Don, I had a '66 Cadillac with an "X" frame and a 427 V-8. The body was a space-age plank, almost like an aircraft carrier. Smoothest riding car ever. Best always. PM
Brien, just me but I remember when a guy who made $10,000 per year could afford a $2000 car. Now, many people are forced to buy a car that costs as much as their annual salary! How did that happen? Would have the automotive manufacturers believed that would be good business policy? Back then, America LOVED cars. Now, practically nobody can afford a car (how many are bought with cash?), and many people hate what they're forced to buy. Small wonder. Best always. PM
Large part due to government "improvement" regulations in the materials, manufacturing processes, performance standards, labor practices and make-up of the companies themselves.
Brien: You must have missed the recent event where Trump turned the White House lawn into a temporary Tesla showroom. Trump even touted that he would buy one which reported that he indeed did. I’m sure he didn’t pay for it..but who cares.
Brien. Your rational comments stand in stark contrast to BB’s rantings. Makes me question the real consequences of auto tariffs. Not that we can expect BB to look at tariffs objectively. No. Where’s the fun in that. He’d much rather lead readers to “buyers remorse”. Foreign trade will take care of itself. The real battle is being fought by DOGE.
DOGE is the Strategy and the Ammunition. The Battle will be getting Congress to do the right things during the upcoming Budget “Reconciliation” process. That will be when we need to see intelligent Tactics informed by Bravery and Courage- just like real war….
P.M. I just have to ask how the financial reset will work out? Hard to say not knowing any concrete details. This financial reset will affect the whole world. Plus You and I . Kind of makes One stop trying to plan anything, business or other wise . I guess it was You or another writer that said "enjoy God and family". More or less .
Don, I have no idea, but we're going to get one whether it's planned/structured or done solely by the SWAG (scientific wild ass guess) method. Best always. PM
Bill is most definitely anti-tariff and pro-globalization. By pro-globalization I would add that the idea is you always have to compete. Historically tariffs were used to protect burgeoning industries that could not compete in the early going with imports at the established price point, so the tariff leveled the playing field(artificially) until the new industry(whether shoes or steel) could grow enough to get economies of scale and efficiencies to the point that it could compete without tariffs. This was the theory. The practice was spotty and tariffs tended to be politically sticky. This is not the situation we have today, particularly in the global auto industry where the status quo has been set and reset by the industry with influence by governments. The perspective in the US auto industry is this: The 18 foreign assembly plants established in the US since 1985 more than make up for the loss of the ~15 US assembly plants that have been shuttered since 1985. It has been more than a zero sum game for US “assembly” workers even with Mexico factored in. Toyota has an engine assembly plant in Alabama from which they ship engines to assembly plants in the US and Mexico. There you have it. The foreign auto manufacturers came to the US for several reasons: 1) to take advantage of the strong US dollar(get paid in dollars and pay in dollars, often but not always a net benefit). 2. To ensure market access due to historical backlashes from unions, citizens as well as the US government regarding balance of trade disparities and loss of US jobs(tariffs were always a threat). and 3. Capture ancillary benefits of operating in the USA(Toyota proved that US workers were as good as Japanese workers in the 1990s, safety, security, education, political access).
Today the situation has matured and is quite different. Tariffs siphon money from industry and give it to governments. This forces industries to make decisions they would not otherwise make(because they are not efficient decisions for mostly integrated industries). The situation for silicon chips is not the same as it is for automobiles, but in both cases government tariffs siphon money away from industries and forces artificial decisions(that may not last and could be reversed). Does anyone believe government is a better spender of that money than the industry it was taken from. And of course there is the price inflation piece where the consumer ultimately pays at least a portion if not all of the bill.
Brien, you write "tariffs siphon money from industry and give it to governments." I agree. As Justice Roberts would say, "It's just another tax." That process is part of what Walter E. Williams called "legalized theft." Best always. PM
Prove, but through vats and terrorists, we are effectively blocked out of most of those countries that you named. When Merkel was asked how many Fords or Chevy's?Are there in germany and she said none. That says it all.
Well Brien, bmw has said that they are going to build another plant in the USA and Audi said that they will build their first one. That’s mega billions in work and wealth and jobs. That’s part of it.
Hello Brien, I don’t believe the tariffs apply to cars, or anything else manufactured in America. President Trump has said this many times. His message is to get manufacturing jobs back to the USA. It’s not just cars, it’s mainly going to be high tech companies and manufacturing of that kind. And mining for critical metals commodities, oil and gas etc. and the pipelines and infrastructure that entails. In other words, REAL JOBS, not fast food or cleaning hotel rooms.
OK, everybody. I'm going to play Harry Dent today and say what is actually happening is the opposite of Mr. Bonner's scenario: all of this, DOGE, downsizing, tariffs, re-prioritizing, deportations and, yes, draining the swamp itself is, by definition, DEFLATIONARY. Mr. Trump accomplishes two purposes this way: he disciplines our "allies", which need disciplining badly, and he brings about a de facto monetary reset, perhaps even a return to the gold standard. Mr. Bonner should love it; he'll see his holy grail, gold to Dow at FIVE, in short order. I'd say the odds of depression are at 50-50 now. It's not all bad; it will wring a lot of the current excess out of the system, possibly even ruin the political careers which should never have been, anyway,.. Best always. PM
And just think, we could have elected Kamala and she would have solved our finanancial problems in "Jim dandy time". Like Trump, she would have opened "Federal lands" in our western states to mining of needed metals (precious and otherwise) to go toward our national debt. At least it's one suggestion to help solve some are all of our national debt over time. Do I believe that congress will go along with Trump on this idea? Not until all hell breaks loose. Wonder what Bill and Tom think of this suggestion? We kinow that the democrats would already have this suggestion and many more recommendations well on there way to implementation. Yeah, anyone believing that must be from Jupiter or Venus.
KD: Well, where did you get your crystal ball?? I think Congress who has a Republican majority has been very quiet lately, just letting Trump do his thing. Not sure why we need them anymore.
I think I'm having buyers remorse....WTF is Trump doing? I'm surmising he doesn't know or if he does, it's coming across like a fart in church on the world stage. I believe we have crossed into the valley of lost respect across the globe. There has to be a different approach to accomplish the same goal without looking like your a 4th grade bully.
As I am from Australia it would in no way to comment on outcomes for the USA. Just a viewer.
Australia was once a highly tarriffed country against imports. In the 60’s a new woollen cardigan cost 3/4 of my Fathers weekly wage. Not many made here anymore. Quality cardigan around 5% of average wage. ( Imported).
Current Australian Government (lefties) have increased the Civil Service by 40,000 people in 2 years, 20%.
Australia has 27m people vs USA 340m. Australian Government also took in ( last year) 440,000 immigrants.
Bad housing shortage and recession averted. For now.
USA let in millions of immigrants ( many illegal) and printed trillions $.
Recession averted ( for now).
Similarities I feel.
New USA President and Government taking action - overall outcomes to be seen - to reduce USA debt and spending , out of control it would appear for years but where I feel it is objectively let down is the delivery and inadvertent attitude to affected people.
People will always take a job on offer. No fault of their’s. It appears from news, publicity and world wide coverage that retrenched people are being demonised in the process as well as anyone else affected. President Trump to me , is ‘dining out ‘ on these people in a manner that could have been much more subtly handled with some appropriate sympathy.
Also, my view again, Bonnor’s insights will tend to be on track longer term.
Thank you for your indulgence. No offence intended.
Sorry, I meant to say that Australia now has a housing shortage and is looking at deficit spending for 5 years. That after surpluses for 2 years. Undercurrent opinions locally feel both policies were subliminally intentional.
Hey Mark. I felt much the same as you for a while. Then I read a few articles about Bessette and Trump. The takeaway I received from the articles was they are trying to go back to a gold standard in America. Of course, it's just reading the tea leaves.
Well, at least we can admit that Trump is going in many directions at once, and his directions change from day to day. Is this part of the plan? I think so. During Trump's first term, he was surrounded by Washington insiders mostly, undermining his agenda and making him a target for constant Democrat (progressive fascist nihilist horde) attacks. Now, Trump is a moving target, moving so fast the Dems can't keep up. They can only rant and swear like the little nasty juveniles that they are. Does Bonner raise some concerns (and, of course, has nothing good to say due to his severe case of TDS) - sure, let's give Bonner a little credit. But not too much. After all, he states explicitly in his column that 1985 was 30 years ago.
Criticise Trump and Co. all you like, but the alternative is Australia, where the only growth industry is training baristas to serve the ever growing number of highly paid government servants. We dig up and sell our dirt to China, the same destination almost every manufacturing industry we used to have, is now. We even sell them our coal and gas [that we can't use] so they can outcompete us on energy because we're green, doncha know. Come see us, we have great coffee.
But at least y'all can go Out Back and do some target shooting with your personal firearms.
Oh, wait.
I feel for you, brother. You're almost as bad as the UK - meaning very likely Beyond the Point of No Return. So very sad, Civilization needs you Free...
Country South Australia is not too bad at the moment, pretty much ignored by the rest of the country and we are happy for that. And I got target shooting in my back yard lol. And a rifle range next door! Only 1/4 mile from town too.
Watch domestic new car prices when the tariffs kick in. Last time we put a $500 tariff on jap cars and Detroit raised their prices $500. These guys and their greed will get the middle class every time. Oh for a horse; my crown for a horse. God's blessings to all.
BB don't get that. A dyed in thee wool leftist who claims to be a libertarian, he is, as long as an (R) is not in power. IF there is he becomes boasbergs best friend. Never considering giving a new approach a chance, yet he offers nothing, nothing as an alternate solution. Just more pissing and moaning, losing his audience like the (D)'s lost everybody. Can you imagine, the (D)'s are standing at a popularity of 27% and are tone deaf to the publics desire for change.
YouGov poll taken 3/22 to 3/25, Trump’s disapproval (49 percent) exceeds approval (48 percent).
Reuters/Ipsos taken 3/21 to 3/23 is even worse. His disapproval is 51 percent and approval only 45 percent.
Morning Consult poll taken 3/21 to 3/23 shows his disapproval at 50 percent and approval at 47 percent.
American Research Group poll taken 3/17 to 3/20 shows his disapproval at 51 percent and approval at 45 percent.
An NBC News poll taken 3/7 to 3/11 shows that a majority of Americans (52 percent) are disappointed with Trump’s appointees — a higher percentage than at the start of Trump’s first term, or at the start of Obama’s, George W. Bush’s, or Clinton’s.
Well the betting agency was much better than the polls before the last election. Better check if there are current odds for Trump success or failure ha ha.
They ALWAYS lean heavy dimocrat and the rationale has always been that dimocrats are a higher percentage of the population among Registered Voters who identify their party. That changed about 6 months ago, now the R's are a higher identifying percentage by a few points. Yet, all of the polling companies STILL weigh heavier to the D's - except Rasmussen and one other minor firm. They weigh it according the actual percentages of R's and D's that self-identify
Don’t grasp those straws too early, Pat. We’ve got to finish up the inventory of leftarde-mandated paper ones before the Trump-blessed plastic ones get back into general circulation….
Wow. The haters are up early.

If he doesn't see the genocide for what it is and stops all U.S. support - it is going to get truly ugly. As you say - "we will see, it's not like we have a choice". As always - just a view.
Great post Ol' LSO, like I said previously, you are definitely a box of chocolates.
I am confused, are you for or against getting rid of corruption and waste in the government?
She needs all the help the Lord can provide, but you have to ask Him. I don’t think she has?
I think she is "for" deporting then illegal invaders and trying to get rid of the Theft, Fraud and Abuse. Trouble is, it's Donald j. Trump and the "R's" driving the effort, so the Conditioned Hatred won't let her, or any of the other immature libtardes publicly support these policies - in spite of the fact that NO ONE on the left aside of the aisle would EVER dream of proposing these actions.....
They are all conditioned to hate those of us that are rational, hard working and love our country.
SE: I don’t have Conditional Hatred, much like you! I like things done right and not crammed down one’s throat.
MW: We all the help the Lord can provide..even you!
WATCH THIS:

I a bit confused, Dorothy. Are you for or against deporting illegal aliens?
Dorothy is a very confused person. Pray for her
MW: Yes, we could all do with a prayer or two. Confused, NO.
AOL: Yes, I’m Not against deporting people who have not come in legally.
I'm SHOCKED, Dotty. I had no idea you were such a Racist Hitler-Lover...
How does that feel, sweetheart?
Welcome to OUR world if we listen to you incompetent, ignorant, arrogant morons...
Well said Brother, extremely well said.
I appreciate your moderation this time, Starboard.
However, due to the continuing adversarial politicalization of this comments forum, which I feel distracts from the stated valuable purpose of the Bonner Private Research team, I have [almost totally] withdrawn from reading or making comments...for the forseeable future.
God bless us, every one.
Well said SBE. Better die standing than on your knees!
I wish you would read it and comment on it.
Amen
PM
Don, just for fun do a google-search on "Fish Carburetor" and let me know what you think. Best always. PM
Sounds good , but the site did not give mush for mileage. The vapor is the magic thing in My mind.
So, how's that going so far?
Brien: You must have missed the recent event where Trump turned the White House lawn into a temporary Tesla showroom. Trump even touted that he would buy one which reported that he indeed did. I’m sure he didn’t pay for it..but who cares.
Brien, You might very well have nailed the reason for the auto tariffs.
That’s not likely since too many in congress are compromised and will refuse to voluntarily leave the government trough.
A depression/financial reset takes those hapless dopes, finally, out of the equation. Best always. PM
P.M. I just have to ask how the financial reset will work out? Hard to say not knowing any concrete details. This financial reset will affect the whole world. Plus You and I . Kind of makes One stop trying to plan anything, business or other wise . I guess it was You or another writer that said "enjoy God and family". More or less .
Regardless it has to happen and this might be the best controlled way to... Get it done
Hope that is correct for Yours and My sake.
Don, I have no idea, but we're going to get one whether it's planned/structured or done solely by the SWAG (scientific wild ass guess) method. Best always. PM
Do you mean the congressCreatures Paul?
Additionally, we are not allowed to build plants there, let alone export to them.
PM
Meanwhile, the impossible (according to Bill Bonner) rears its improbable head:

Once again check out this link. Very short and powerful.
True. Progressive socialist democrats are from Jupiter and Venus.
Better from Mars reportedly.
KD: Well, where did you get your crystal ball?? I think Congress who has a Republican majority has been very quiet lately, just letting Trump do his thing. Not sure why we need them anymore.
If your buyers remorse is based on this text meticulously crafted by Mr. Bonner.....
Maybe it makes sence to resort to some other sources before falling in desperation.
😊
Pass the joint.
....Sense....
Just Albo trying to buy votes but I reckon it won't work. Hopefully gone in this election. He has trashed Australia imo.
Looks like Trade wars is Not a Win-Win or Win-Lose… it’s a Lose-Lose proposition 😡🍁🇨🇦

I am not an American but, it sounds like President Trump has never heard about the history of the Boston Tea Party and what it led up to.
Watch domestic new car prices when the tariffs kick in. Last time we put a $500 tariff on jap cars and Detroit raised their prices $500. These guys and their greed will get the middle class every time. Oh for a horse; my crown for a horse. God's blessings to all.
Who are the WEs in the frequent "We don't know"s. Perhaps we is the new I. Kinda limits the responsibility, eh? More pronoun dysphoria.
1985 is forty years ago -- not thirty years ago
Thank you for the chance to feel good !
Robert Riech
Have you ever considered these polls being used as a racket?
I haven't seen one without bias.
Starting out how to ask.
Not publishing the raw data but the so-called "weighted".
Which allows to "weigh" as long and often until the desired outcome surfaces.
If I am not mistaken (as a foreign observer) most if not all the polling agencies mentioned are leaning democrat?
Cheers
Well the betting agency was much better than the polls before the last election. Better check if there are current odds for Trump success or failure ha ha.
I wonder 😊
They ALWAYS lean heavy dimocrat and the rationale has always been that dimocrats are a higher percentage of the population among Registered Voters who identify their party. That changed about 6 months ago, now the R's are a higher identifying percentage by a few points. Yet, all of the polling companies STILL weigh heavier to the D's - except Rasmussen and one other minor firm. They weigh it according the actual percentages of R's and D's that self-identify
Thank you for the expansion of my scarce knowledge...
Don’t grasp those straws too early, Pat. We’ve got to finish up the inventory of leftarde-mandated paper ones before the Trump-blessed plastic ones get back into general circulation….
Come on, Star, try to make some sense in Ur replies.
PN: I think SE must have read about the Signal scandal that happened concerning Trump’s team.
Maby so, Dorothy, but I suspect he sees hears reads nothing showing the truth of the degeneracy and ignorance of this entire regime.
Y'all get a room.
Nevermind - based on current conditions, you probably couldn't figure out who is the Man and who is the Woman...
