The dems were after the 1st amendment a long time ago. Let's just hope we are not too late to the fight. I don't know how long I will last, but I will defend it with my life. When it is gone, it is over. Just sayin' mho
You have asked the question several times now - how will they get out of paying? It is becoming more obvious to me; and it doesn't involve a financial solution. It will be war, on a global scale, that permits all kinds of financial shenanigans to be carried out in the background. The "fog of war" will be the smokescreen to mask the default, in the hope of emerging victorious and earning the spoils. The groundwork has been/is being laid and the fuse has been lit in the Ukraine and the South China Sea.
You mentioned Tom Dyson's note of 9/21/22. I haven't received his missives for quite some time--a couple of months? Could someone please check on that?
Jeremy Powell: "...what we need is supply and demand to get better aligned ."
[Oh, lack of housing supply is the reason for high home prices...? That's a new thought. The problem surely could NOT be interest rates. Maybe deflation of the money supply, QT - fewer dollars available to bid on stuff means nominal prices go down.]
...We probably in the housing market have to go through a correction to get back to that place."
So, is he saying that building more housing is the answer, or fewer dollars, or both?
But, Mr. Powell, the reporter says, "it seems that increasing the interest rate will slow construction and make housing cost even more. What exactly do you mean by "correction"?
I’m gonna get reamed for saying this, but I kinda miss THE OLD PG V AND THE FIRE THAT WAS YOUR WRITING STYLE lol. A healthy discussion is the foundation for civil society (a rule the country seems to have forgotten) and you, sir/ma’am/they/seedless watermelon/insert-pronoun-of-choice, were a master at stoking the fire and starting the discussion. If someone on here made you change, just shake em off and FIRE IT UP LOL.
I concur. When words become weapons, as they have ever since the sheeple started (being told) to care about what’s “politically correct” when speaking, the first amendment becomes another on the list of things to be cancelled. So as one who doesn’t subscribe to the PC mantra, for me it means the 1st needs to be protected at all costs. As the quote goes... “I may not agree with what you say, but I will fight to the death your right to say it.”
If I understand Bill correctly, this is extremely depressing. The quintessential definition of a banana republic.
The whole world is a banana republic right now, awaiting some generalissimo to come and save us all.
Personally I think it makes more sense to head for the jungle to sit it out.
Something else to consider other than just the Markets:

I've been following Ray Dalio for years. He is a perma-bear and loves rubbing elbows at Davos! Hasn't been right a lot!

There are two choices inflate or die

I think that is the wrong Will.
Facts, on top of Facts, on top of Facts, on top of FACTS.
Thanks PG...
