Wut?? Such strange things afoot in the comment section. Since many otherwise logical people here seem to have taken a day off to visit La-La Land, I'll say it:

To see words like "obviously" and "of course" used with regard to the assertion that Russia blew up their own vital and profitable pipelines convinces me that I missed out on some really good sheeet of which several of you have surely partaken.

Obviously? Of course?? Sure - those words apply if your talking about the pipelines being sabotaged by the terrorist trio of Blinken, Nuland and TraitorJoe. Well, duh.

The dangerous, vindictive, ignorant children posing as our "leaders" are completely responsible. And like everything else they touch, this too will undoubtedly backfire and explode in their pathetic faces...

Perhaps davos backed nato members looking for alternative pipeline routes as a hedge that doves would cave to Putin once they got a taste of their green energy policy in action? Who spoke loudest ? A polish minister.

Hmmmm

Yes my brother, Putin is right when he said America is doomed from within, evil satanism and wokism in our corporate world with communist and liberals to warp our youth. It’s all madness when a man like Putin is more aware about our doomed culture then you….

Agree with PG, the Russians did it. All green on the market today! Waiting for the other shoe to drop. Biden going to Puerto Rico. What does that mean? Biden (Obama-Rice) will figure a way to torpedo this otherwise calm day. Just sayin'

Hey PG -

Yup. Happy day all around by most accounts. I hold VERY MODEST positions in several early stage BioTechs/Gene Editing outfits and one (LOGC) was up over 650% on news of a buyout by the Rare Disease Division of AstraZeneca today. Unfortunately, my slice of the pie has been down by around 85% for the last 16 months, so I am selling tomorrow morning with an approximate 17% loss. But hey - I'll take it over where I was a few short hours ago, my faith in this "swing-for-the-fences" small portfolio is slowly being rebuilt and Hello! - the dogs are rarin' to go after being cooped up throughout most of what was an absolutely GORGEOUS Fall day in SFL...

Yes Bill as a Floridian for the last 30 years. We are used to Hurricanes. Biden has no clue what’s happening. But cue the DeSantis death March. I only wish I could blame the Dems for this economy but this has been coming since papa Bush ot before. Now it’s time to pay the piper.

I also believe the Russians (we will never know) did the sabotage of the pipeline. I feel this way because they would have reacted differently to the reality.

Did you find it interesting that Rickards doesn't think Russia passes the motives test for doing that sabotage job? Today he said, he doesn't know, but watch to see which country gets hit hard next and they are probably the culprit.

There are some good arguments on multiple sides of this whodunit. What needs to happen (as you often say) is that Putin needs to go. Just a few weeks ago we were reading news reports (need a 50 lb. bag of salt when reading most media) that said there were entire City Councils (the Russian version anyway) from places like St. Petersburg (Putin's home town) and Moscow writing proclamations to Putin demanding that he resign. I haven't seen any more of that type of reporting in a while. Where are the rest of the "Districts" as they are called there?

You can put on the head of a pin what I know about military strategy, the IC and foreign policy brinkmanship. But, something's got to give soon because I can't imagine Putin or anyone else wanting to wage war during a Russian/Ukrainian winter. Then again, maybe those people are used to it, but I would think it makes transportation of weapons, supplies and troops very difficult.

US could not allow eurozone to be energy independent via Russian gas or oil especially if it would dethroned the petrodollar. Sanctions only strengthened the ruble. Russia is being paid in other currencies plus gold. Is that a major consideration for pipeline destruction.

Yes, of course the dastardly Russians blew their own pipeline up, because simply turning it off at the source would have been way too complicated!. Cui bono? Not the Russians, but maybe the alternative supplier of LNG? Just saying
